Yes I agree 100%. Make it an instant rebate & I'll bite. Been burned more than once in the past, so I don't do the MIR anymore.

Looks like Amazon here I come.

Well now, I got my $30 rebate from Sapphire for my 5870. Took nearly 12 weeks and I had to fill out more paperwork than when I closed on my house but I still got it.

So yeah, F a bunch of MIR's.

On a positive note, thats a pretty good price on that X6.

Yup, I don't do MIR's anymore. I know it's not up to the retailer most of the time, it's a manufacturer thing, but it is a real turn off. I judge the price by pre-MIR. I've been burned too many times, even by decent companies like Nintendo and Thermaltake.

Getting a check 6 months later for $10-$25 is cool for a nice lunch, but not worth the trouble or "deal" that I got previous.

Seriously? My post gets picked out as "threadcrap" and the threadcraps that follow are left alone? They are all equally legitimate gripes IMO.

What am I missing about the 2x4GB, DDR3-1600 RAM? Newegg has a bunch of similar kits below $50.

Newegg has great deals and customer service. MIR are pain but making money isn't easy.

I'm finding it especially annoying that video cards ALWAYS have MIR's and the freaking prices have been stagnant for so long now. sad face.
