You have got to be kidding me, right? AOL still has 3.5 million dial up subscribers? What?!?

3 million of those are people who are probably still on hold trying to cancel their service. I remember that hell, oh about 18 years ago.
This means they are billing 3.5 million customers, not that 3.5 million are actually using the service.
Half these people are probably sitting on hold trying to cancel
There are still millions of Americans that cannot get broadband, still a market there.
My mother cannot get DSL or Cable or Uverse, she's stuck on dialup or on satellite.
People like my stepmother who foolishing still pay AOL.
I get not everyone has broadband and some have to use dialup, but I wouldn't be caught dead using AOL. It isn't 1992 anymore.
ethically devoid service...
AOL do suck and I would never use them, but links to ethical broadband provider?
My bro still uses AOL cuz it's his email address he's been using for years. I don't know what he pays for that, but he doesn't care. *shrug* Some people just don't care if they burn a few bucks just to keep things the same...
Does she live in Antarctica?
Probably the same people who still use XP.
I remember the days when I was on dialup with MSN before signing up for cable in 2001. Downloading Windows updates took half of the morning or afternoon depending on when I started. I still vividly remember the day when the cable guy came and installed the AT&T Broadband service. It was so fast compared to dialup that I was amazed at the difference in speed. If I lived in BF Egypt I would either go with a cellular plan on 1XRTT or satellite if it was available. Anything is better than AOL!!
