Symantec is expanding its services to cover the Mac. NortonLive will be competing against Apple Care, the traditional support desk for Mac computers.

The service offers a 24-hour phone service that lets users get help battling and removing viruses and spyware, troubleshoot slow systems, and solve other issues affecting your Mac.

Jeez that sounds like a horrible job--trying to walk grandma through removing spyware on her ten year old computer, over the phone none the less.

And It's good to know that Apple is finally not bullshiting their customers as much these days, and they are actually getting rid of the "Apples don't get viruses like a PC!" crApple "genius" myth
