RIM's BBX OS Name Is Already Taken

Normally I would be surprised to hear that a company didn't bother checking to see if the name of its new OS was already in use...but this is RIM we are talking about. :rolleyes:

Research in Motion's new BBX operating system isn't even out yet, and it's already facing a bit of legal heat. A small Albuquerque, N.M.-based software provider, Basis International, claims "BBx" is the name of a software platform that it has already trademarked.
 
They should have named it BMX and called the first release "Pop-a-wheelie"
 
Just another small company trying to make a name for itself.

Did you read the article?

They haven't even complained to RIM, let alone served them, and they already have products in the market with the name.
