Microsoft Corp. today announced record first-quarter revenue of $17.37 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2011, a 7% increase from the same period of the prior year. Operating income, net income, and diluted earnings per share for the quarter were $7.20 billion, $5.74 billion, and $0.68 per share, which represented increases of 1%, 6%, and 10%, respectively, when compared with the prior year period.

And the bald man keeps the company rolling in dough. Ballmer has got to be the best "bad " CEO in history. Office seems to be going crazy, I wonder what's fueling that consider that Windows sales were flat.

One thing that could be part of Office doing well, OneNote. OneNote might be one of the best programs that many never heard of, and then when they see it they wonder how they ever lived without it. However that seems to finally be changing as I was reading a few months ago that OneNote is starting to catch some fire and was expected sometime this year to become the most used Office program after Word and Excel. About time.
