I hate to be the one to call B.S. on studies like this but this is obviously fake. Seriously, a 30 second clip of reconstructed brain activity with no boobies in it? When is the last time any of you went 30 seconds without...mmmm, boobies.

The first comment on that video is priceless: Somehow I'm sure this will lead to my brain being sued for copyright infringement.

Interesting...

... but a pink panther remake, really?

This would be great on our "world leaders" wouldn't it?

Whoa, this is one of those things we've seen in sci-fi for so long that I honestly never thought would come to fruition. I have a hard time believing this actually works.

The images it produced were pretty cool IMO, whether or not they are real... I wonder how well it could capture dreams, if at all ;)

Looks fake, there are sometimes random text that is visible in sections that don't have any text. Or text that doesn't relate to the text on screen at all, and the text is often clear as day in the brain image.

Or how about you read the intro text which tells you how the images were generated:

So it's basically a bunch of Youtube clips strung together, using some arbitrary "brain activity" to select which Youtube clips to display...

That would explain the lack of detailed bobbie images... next time include some porn site images.

Like alot of these types of things, an actual visual representation of the data would be boring and confusing to most viewers. The fact they are using a search algorithm to find matches is neat though, imagine it being hooked up to google or some other internet search... no shortage of images/videos there...

So you mean to say that they've taken what we thought we think and are making us think our thoughts we've been thinking the thoughts we think that we thought...I think?

This technology will be used for torture and in court rooms. Used for purposes of big brother to see what your thinking :)

the preview pic of the video looks freakin disturbing. like a guy with greasy hair with his face ripped off and his shirt covered blood. and he's watching you.
