Apple has pulled a controversial app on grounds that it violates French law concerning personal information dissemination according to the BBC. The app in question is Jew or Not Jew, created by a Johann Levy, and according to the developer was created for fun and nothing more. Apple has made no comment on the removal.

Johann Levy, a 35-year-old developer who is Jewish and holds dual British and French nationality, denied that the app was in any way discriminatory and said that it was about "being proud."

This is the opposite of arrogance; this is proud ignorance. Many times Jews can be their own worst enemy.

Recently a BBC reporter was pushed to the ground from behind by a group of Muslims. When the reporter asked why, the contrite reply was, "We thought you were a Jew."

Maybe next time they will use the app from that proud Jew.

When I saw the name of the application I assumed it was a camera application, take a picture and it determines if you are Jewish or not via facial recognition (read: nose).
