Skype Continues to go Its Own Way

While the deal between Microsoft and Skype has already been approved, it will not close until October. The fact has not gone unnoticed by Skype executives who are taking a ‘business as usual’ approach to running Skype. Microsoft may get its corporate nose out of joint with some of Skype's recent decisions.

As Microsoft watchers may recall, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) team has been not so bullish about VP8 and WebM.
