I looked at the photos, they are indeed his. No, Netflix did not make the alterations. They company they hired to do their DVD box design did. No, they did not alter the photo to hide the fact they stole his photo, they altered it to fit correctly on the DVD case. The problem isn't the...
Great article! I'm building a new PC and just ordered this on Saturday and it sounds like a made a good choice. I do have a GTX 1080 so I'm concerned about it not POSTing. Should updating the BIOS be my first priority after installing Windows?
I don't understand why you think if something is "generic," it somehow invalidates their work. If I just call that proprietary code "generic," can I copy it now?
And yes, if you take a photo of an apple and someone uses that photo, they are violating your copyright. It's YOUR photo of an apple...
This is getting embarrassing. There are way too many posters here who have absolutely no understanding of copyright law and think that protecting your copyright (no matter how "trivial") makes you a "nutjob." If you're a programmer and wrote some proprietary code and I came and copied your code...
Yeah, screw all those fun games like Quake, Unreal Tournament, Doom, Tribes, Goldeneye, HalfLife, Call of Duty, Counterstrike, Titanfall, TF2, and the like.
If you can't understand why people are enjoying a game that brought in a BILLION dollars in revenue, the problem is with you, not the game.
My Uber rides are consistently 50% cheaper than a taxi. From my house to downtown, a taxi costs $20. The same exact ride cost $9 or $10 in an Uber. Not to mention it's easier and faster to call an Uber.
The only thing I've ever been gotten on is their Surge pricing. At one point I paid $40...
Where exactly is this site scraping these files up? I tried downloading a test file while watching my network monitoring tool but the only site I see being accessed is this one.. Surely he's not hosting all these files, where are they coming from?
Microsoft Security Essentials keeps popping up telling me I have various file infected in my temporary internet files. I cleaned it, cleared all my temp files, then reran the scan. MORE files in my temp internet files! I just cleared them and haven't connected to the net at all!
I then looked...
Yeah, PC-Check allows you to test individual RAM modules one at a time too. The PSU is a brand new Corsair tx650w. Unfortunately, I have no other parts to test in this build, I could borg out my old machine (that I'm currently using as the new one is bugging out on me) and try putting it's old...
I'll try the overall command when I get home. I agree with the hardware issue, but what piece? I've run memtest86+, latest version, and no memory errors. Another memory check program I ran, PC-Check, came up with some errors. Not sure why memtest isn't showing the same results. Could the mobo...
I attempted to install those, and it appeared to successfuly install, however, as soon as I hit next from the accept terms page, it instantly said "successful." In other words, it didn't do anything. Rebooted the machine and several minutes later it BSOD'd on me from the desktop.
The reason I was putting XP on this was because Win 7 was randomly BSODing on me and I wanted to rule out the possibility it was the OS that was blowing up on me. Audio drivers wouldn't install unless I disabled digitally signed drivers, not to mention BSOD's every few minutes from the few games...
Brand new install of WinXP Prof 64 bit, attempting to install the chipset drivers either from my motherboard CD or latest from the website results in this error:
Motherboard is EVGA x58 SLI LE
I can try pluggin my SATA drive into a another port and see if that works, but other than that...
If your comp is rebooting on shutdown, it might actually be crashing on shutdown which is causing the reboot. My XP machine does this. Turn off "automatic restart on system failure" (not sure where that's at on win 7) it's under system, advanced, startup and recovery in XP. Then, when you...
On my fresh install of Windows 7, windows refuses to detect my on onboard audio on my x58 SLI LE. I've tried using the latest Realtec HD Audio drivers as well as some older versions to no avail. Finally, after reading some posts on another site, I presssed F8 during bootup and "Disable Require...
Great find! At least I know it's not a malfunction. I can deal with a few seconds delay as opposed to worrying every time I boot it if something's broken.
Only on startup! It's quite possible it could just be a quirk (aka normal functionality) of the board, I just thought 5-7 seconds was a bit excessive for it to be doing seemingly nothing, other than the fans turning on.
My new EVGA x58 motherboard takes 5 to 7 seconds before the post process begins. I power on, wait, wait, then it does it's beep and starts booting. No other problems as far as I can tell. Could this be an issue with the motherboard or possibly the powersupply/ram? Unfortunately, I don't have any...
Oh I gotcha, Yeah I remember reading about that awhile ago now that you mention it. I'm definitely going to go for the gskill memory instead.
Now I just need to buckle down and choose a video card.
