If you follow the link and pay with a Visa card, you get another $10 off.
Looking at $83 with shipping if both the rebates go through. Can finally replace my brother's 8800GT.
If these are the exact same one that Fry's sold last year (also OCZ Gold) for $15 AR, these are not stable at anything under 2.1v. Got random BSODs at 2.0v (hours to days).
Looking for a cheap quiet Socket A heatsink+fan for a small file server. Keep in mind that this is for a Athlon XP 2000+ that is probably worth <$10, so nothing fancy please. I just need quiet. :D
PM me anything you have lying around. Paying with non-cc paypal.
Heatware: vikingblade
They did you a favor, the new date is delayed to 1/21/08 (doubt they would still even ship), which is well past the Paypal promotion final ship deadline of 1/10/08. I finally cancelled this order.
If you want the non-SC version, Buy.com has it in stock for $245 with the 5% coupon:

I don't think MSI has shipped any besides a handful so far. All the other retailers that were also selling MSI's at this price also have yet to receive their stock either (only think ClubIT has shipped).
I think it's more of a case of people not understanding that the "charge" was actually a preauthorization in the first place. In addition, changing the price is a moot point. They can't and they won't charge you more than you agreed to. The only thing they can do without your consent is lower...
I don't see how most people would void eVGA or XFX warranties for instance (covering, OCing, aftermarket cooling).
I'm assuming OEM also means it is just the card without any accessories?
Some of the smaller retailers that had stock dates of 12/01/07 (after 2-3 delays) from the distributor still did not get their shipments. Seeing dates pushed back to 12/14, and 01/08. So either Dell sucked up all the stock, or MSI is having problems getting enough of these out.
I don't see how they are taking the chips from eVGA, etc. It actually seems like the retailers are trying to import these lesser known brands that are more popular overseas since they don't have enough.
Pine is actually XFX I believe.
Are you sure you mean charged? Because mine was preauthorized immediately, but not charged.
Not 100% positive, but I think that happened to someone else that wanted to cancel on the first day it was out. They had to wait until it was done transferring to fulfillment before it could be cancelled.
Decided to cancel this order. I will comment that I am very impressed with Provantage. Sent an e-mail to cancel, and got a reply saying it was cancelled within 3 minutes.
Not sure, but it looks like they made their own design for the 8800GT instead of follow the reference design. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
Yikes, RMA center is only to Hong Kong I believe. Scratch that, I don't think you have any warranty since I don't believe GotV3 handles RMA's...
Yeah, looks like they don't actually have the cards. They will send the information to MSI, who will themselves ship it to you if/when they have stock. Which I guess is why you can't return it.
You make it sound like the engineers also work on marketing, and/or that marketing manpower is equivalent to engineering manpower. More manpower != faster. You can only add so much more manpower before you start to get worse returns for every extra unit of work. It's the exact same flawed...
This thing apparently isn't of a very good construction, or the postal service is really terrible. All I got in the mail was mangled up pieces plastic and metal last time.
