Not really. I posted in the original m1 thread about how i remove my mine, in response to talk about broken clips and bent panels.
On the bottom of the panel (the long side), there's just enough of a lip there to catch with your fingers. Pushing (or pulling) causes the panel clips to release...
I have a wdtv live in one of the bedrooms, (ive used wdtv media players for years) but man are they slow compared to newer players. Also, the samsung bluray player i have has so far played all the file formats i have.
Ive been using serviio with success for the past few days but i'll check out...
I wanted to avoid the software route since it would require my pc to be on all the time, but i think i will have a look into it.
I'll give plex a try if serviio doesnt work for me.
I actually own a g-box...its sitting in a closet collecting dust. :D I found that my samsung bluray htib played...
So, im looking for a simple easy way to stream video (mostly mp4) to my samsung bluray player. Currently i use a usb hard drive, moving it between my pc and bluray player whenever i have new content i want to watch. I can share it directly from my pc but dont want it running all the time. All i...
All this talk about changing the panels to avoid bending and broken clips has me wondering how people are actually pulling their panels off. I always do mine from the long edges of the panels and they pop off really easily with only a small bit of force.
Ok thanks guys.
When first looking into it, i read on another forum that remote desktop was the best way to go, obviously it isnt. lol I'll look into one of the other options you listed, thanks again.
Im trying to use remote desktop to control my htpc with my tablet. Both have win 8.1 pro installed and the htpc has been set to accept remote connections. Whenever i try to connect though, i get an error:
Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:
1) Remote...
There are a few more that will fit without conflicting with anything else, check the ncase spreadsheet on the "things that work" tab. I went with a Cooler Master GeminII S524 for my gigabyte board.
Picked up my package today. Its been sitting at the post office since last Wednesday!
I was surprised that it reached my country so fast (Bermuda), it usually takes months for stuff to get here from Asia. I wasnt expecting this case until after Christmas and i have no parts for it. :o...
The ML05 is basically the same shape but is a tad bit larger in size. Its a bit longer and that adds up to about 4.5 cubic inches larger, not much at all.
Hey folks,
I have my friends acer aspire 6920 whos hard drive crashed a lil while back and he had it replaced. The person who replaced it installed win7 on it, but every time it is plugged in, it would not boot into windows. If run off the battery, it would boot and run just fine and then crash...
Ended up fixing the issue by doing a system restore... seemed to be a bad windows update.
I used the recovery tools that are on the install disc under the repair option.
Thats right, pressing ctrl+alt+del brings up nothing. The windows key does nothing. Right clicking does nothing. The mouse pointer works fine though, i even saw the little disc accessing icon come up under the mouse when i popped in a dvd but nothing happens.
Weird one this is.
Has anyone come across a fix for this problem?
Black screen upon log on with just a working mouse pointer. No access to anything via key commands. Same thing when trying through safe mode.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks :)
I just installed a new 6850 and decided to use displayport to connect to my dell 2709w. Im using the oem cable that came with the monitor and everything works fine, except that i get the "link failure" message every time i wake my monitor. Anyone else have this problem?
Ok, everything works...
I dont have a backup and my latest restore point is... yesterday! lol
I just now fixed the problem by removing and then re-adding the "My Documents" folder back into the "Documents" library.
Under "Libraries", right-click the library you want and go to properties.
Remove the "My Documents"...
Hey folks,
Lately ive been having a problem with windows 7 asking for permissions to do lots of changes. I also cant edit any of my old files and i cant save anything new to some of my libraries. I think it started a couple weeks ago after setting up my xbox as a media center extender... i...
Hmm, the graphics card shouldnt be faking anything. If the res is set, then thats what the card pumps out, its up to the monitor to make use of that data and display it properly. I believe 1024 was the max res height, i'll have to check again. Oh, i just thought of an easy test; Since the...
At work we have this dual monitor setup with an HP 20" 1600x1200 and an HP 22" 1680x1050. The screen res is to 2048x768 so that it spans both monitors. The 4:3 monitor displays this perfectly and the 16:10 monitor stretches it, but it doesnt bother anyone since that screen only displays trend...
I have a friends Gateway MD2614 laptop and it wont boot, the dvd drive just cycles as though its trying to read something. He only wanted his data off the HD so i took that out and hooked him up with an external enclosure.
While going through the usual hardware eliminations, i got to the...
So ive plugged the drive back in and transferred over 52gigs to it and moved files back and forth between it and my computer. It seems to be working perfectly fine now, but why?
The only thing different is the drive letter. Windows assigned it a new one since my Essentials drive took...
I have a 500gig WD Elements Portable HD connected through USB that ive been trying to transfer files to for the past few hours. When trying to move a folder full of avi files or a single file, it would start, then after a minute, appear to stop, and then the drive appears to power off...
Sorry... both monitors are hooked up through DVI. I'll try VGA when i can find some adapters, i know i have some in my junk box.
I'll give 10.5 a try, but im pretty sure its not a windows driver issue. It happens even while in the mobo bios.
Im having a problem with my video card cutting in and out. I get random "no signal found" prompts from my Dell 2709, maybe 2-5 times a day. They only last a second or 2 and the display always comes back with the computer still doing its thing. My card is an 18 month old MSI ATI 4850 and i simply...
I have a dell 1525 laptop with a new installation of windows 7. i have a problem with it continually adjusting the brightness of the screen all on its own. i would open the power options to find the slider lowered on its own after i moved it up to full. ive disabled every feature that i can...
So, i have 2 laptops with windows 7 home premium installed. A 2 year old dell that i upgraded and a newly purchased hp that came with it. Both have an odd problem where the audio doesnt seem to "kick in" until a couple seconds after an event that requires audio. I had vista on the dell before i...
