Radoen 5870 just died yesterday. Borrowing a Fire Pro from work but it is a dog for gaming.
You ask what I like about Galaxy? Well for starters, they are willing to give away awesome hardware. Hardware I desperately need. ><
Pick me Obi-wan Kenobi....your my only hope. :(
What do I like best about the Radeon 7770. Well...for me its' the next word in it's name. "Crossfire" and what that word means to me. It means I can run my 3 montiors balls-out without worry that I'll end up watching a slide show instead of smooth gaming graphics.:p
Patriot has been a solid memory vendor for years. With their extension into SSD's they now offer one of the most complete lines of storage technology around. (SSD, ram, flash drives, etc.)
Their entire product line consistently ranks among the fastest available which is of highest importance...
NVSurround....need I say more? My 5970 runs like...well how you would expect a 3 year old card to run. Needless to say, frame rates on on Skyrim, Batman: Ark and MW3 at 5760x1080 are NOT what one would call "pleasing". My video is dated and needs the update desperately.
However, if you...
Corsair is one of very few brand you can trust without hesitation. Not many brands have been around longer and have so many products that just plain work.
Because you guys can promote a happier marriage by throwing one my way! :D
I can't get my wife off my current EyeFinity setup and it's a source of contention on several occasions.
I need one because I am building a new Corsair themed rig (cooling, case, pwr supply, drives, etc.)...and this unit would be the bees-knees for the setup.
The single greatest reason I love AMD is simply "competition". Without it, the innovation seen both in the Red and Blue camps over the last decade would most certainly be significantly reduced.
OH, and "Paul" for middle name. =)
How did the event go? Good attendance?
Wish I wasn't 800 miles away and didn't already have two weeks off for Quakecon scheduled.
Damn Texas being the nexus of North American gaming. =/
The all-in-one approach is the largest selling point of these for me. Add in Antec's continued effort for nothing but excellence, and you can't go wrong with this product.
Been building my own PC's since 1991 and have used Corsair excludsive since the late 90's. No other memory manufacture has consistantly provided me with memory that "just works" more often than Corsair. If you want memory that works the first time, every time...look no further than Corsair.
Throwing my two cents in, but I too tried the dx11 setting in my config.wtf file.
Results:
*I play in windowed mode*
Good:
Chat bubbles and NPC text is now "correct" and not "huge".
Image quality was the same.
Performance seemed to be a bit better, but not incrediably noticable...
I did have the Tritton USB version until they died. Had them replaced with the Analog version, and THEY died as well. So now I am down to using the built in speakers on my monitor and my webcam mic. Supprisingly, the mic isn't half bad...but the monitor speakers suck ass.
Why I need to hear my games better?
Have you ever lived with a hyper active 4 yr old, 2 cats that hate each other and a wife who loves the sound of her own voice?
Noise canceling....heck....I need "Sound of life" canceling technology. >< It used to be you could go sit on the can as a...
Any size is cool. Only two things I am hoping for are an AGP slot and Dual Channel memory. However, it is only my in-laws pc, so integrated video and Single Channel memory would probably suffice.
