Think about it this way: Most companies (Sony, Hitachi, Samsung, Nintendo...etc) agree that hardware failures of any piece of electronics (televisions, DVD players, consoles...etc) at ~6% or less are Acceptable. The 360 has had only an average of a 3% Problem rate, and a 1% Total Failure rate...
This sounds like the dilemma I had with Rez. It took a bit of searching, but I found it for a reasonable price. I'm sure that you'll find it legally, too :D
Good for you :D I mean, there shouldn't really be a competition between the Outfit and GR:AW; they're different types of games and have different types of gameplay. If you like one, you may or may not like the other. It's all personal preference.
Sounds like you've got the dreaded "corroded solderless adapter connections" problem. The only way to permanently fix it is to solder it; the way it is now, some contacts don't make...well...contact. Melt that sucker on!
If BB argues too much, there's always contacting Microsoft directly. I've heard that they don't have too many problems with fixing them, and even ship you shipping materials :D
See? You're like 97-99% of the people out there. The only thing is, that, you tell us how your console has worked CORRECTLY ;) . The only reason people think that this is such a bad problem is because it's the 2-3% of people with problems that make 99% of the media discussion.
Oh, just...
Agreed #2
Yeah, I think that the HDR effects get to be a little much every once in awhile, but that's nothing to make the game bad. I mean, I even play on a standard 480i television, but it's not bad at all. If you complain that much, don't play/buy it for the 360, stick to PC games, and...
Funny, I don't see anyone doing it as I have done for years, gaming or not :D
Thumb = Left side of mouse
Index = Left Button
Middle = Rests on scroll wheel, right clicks
Ring+Pinky = Right side.
That's funny, because my ~15-20 year old Sony Trinitron IS progressive scan and direct-from-computer 60mhz compatible. I found it used, but I"m guessing that back in the day it fetched quite the penny. :D
Woo! Sometime this week, I'll be getting my setup posted here with my ancient beast.
Most likely, the cable died. I know you said you didn't have one, but if I were you I would find a multimeter and try to measure the charging plug on the USB cable. If not, try using a powered hub with the USB cable. No non-powered hubs! If that doesn't work, I dunno.
I've had problems with gateways and that before; most of the time now they've got a wierd, green plastic thingy that holds their power supply in. Replace the green thing with some zip ties, and you're golden.
Unless, of course, you mean that your aspire was too long and hit a CD drive or...
You do realize that any, ANY copy of Vista out now is a pre-release, unfinished copy, right? Even if benchmarks were to be done now, they would have NO application to the release version, or the later hardware it supposedly requires. And that jump = way to high. Either someone's...
Uh... I was talking about the other way around...you know how hard she is to beat... Maybe I don't want to know what's going on in your mind. ;) Maybe I was thinking faster than I was typing...
But thank you guys/gals for helping me. I'm going to be very, VERY happy when it...
Well, when you put it that way, I'd say "get the PC version." I mean, I just bought a 360 myself yesterday (will arrive ~this week), but the constuction kit and mods that come out for the PC are amazing, especially a couple of months down the road. Add to the fact that this game has a HUGE...
Ah. For Xbox modding, I would suggest heading over to another site; this one, while good, won't do any justice in that respect.
Do a google for Xbox Scene, they'll help you over there.
And for pedals/the like, they probably won't work. You probably noticed that there's the extra 5th wire...
If you want to know exactly what MCE is, here's a little tidbit:
If you enter an XP Pro CD-key while installing MCE, it never asks for the second disk and instead installs normal XP Pro. I did like some of the features of MCE, but they were never worth the trade-off for the features it...
Thank you all. I'll be sure to get my gamertag up immediately after I recieve the box.
Oh, that reminds me of yet another question: I used to have a Live! account under a username. I cancelled my Live! account almost two years ago, but when I helped a friend register recently, I decided...
The problem with the Ionic Breeze purifiers (I didn't read the whole thread..so if it's been repeated...) is that:
1: The earlier models produced just positive ions, so all it did was make the dust in the immediate area clump together in a pile in front of the machine. The newer ones have a...
Naw. Nobody with a bag of cat food that big could ever be an idiot. Preperation for the future!
/offtopic
I hope to soon add my setup in this thread sometime next week.
Wow theNoid, that was a...large post :D . Just to be clear, though, I love my PC at the moment (even though there seems to be a slight drought for PC games right now, it happens every year), and I just wanted the Xbox 360 to fill the void my TV's been feeling ever since I picked up my DS and...
I have a feeling most people play their 360s on non-HD screens. I mean, I could play in on my monitor (and I probably will from time-to-time), but the 30" Sony Trinitron in my room is much more convienent.
I'm starting to have a good feeling about this purchase.
Holy crap, that's a lot of replies. Thank you! :D
No, the main reason wasn't Geometry Wars; Geometry Wars was just the "final push" over the edge into the "purchase" category. Right now, I'm planning on trading in the sports game it's coming with for DOA4, because I've played hours at a...
Headline got your attention? Good. :D Here's the scoop:
I just broke down. After months, nay, years, of saying "I'll never buy the successor," I just ordered an Xbox 360.
Curses
I couldn't help it. I know it's not as advanced as people want it to be, but damn it has some great...
Heh, I never said that I believed it was actually from there, though it very well could be. It's not like all cigs are rebranded for overseas selling :D Though, I'm just saying that that's where I saw it, I haven't a clue where the newspost got it from.
Who said it was being aimed at the gaming market? The Halo picture was only one of many of the functions it could perform, and MS themselves said that it was supposed to be a "lifestyle" tablet-pc/ultraportable laptop competitor. Kinda like what the PSP is trying (and failing) to do...
