they are both great for gaming... comes down to if you want games on widescreen or 4:3, keeping in mind that not all games support widescreen...so you may need to run it on aspect, causing it to be more like a 17" lcd. but most major games, and new ones support widescreen. ea sport games...

i think it's crappy coding... sometimes i would be at around 70fps, then drops to 30fps, then back up... what annoys me is when the game studders though...cant seem to fix it either. i would blame my 512mb ram, but it studders too often...and only on half life 2 not doom 3 or any other games.
