I would say to go with the HD580's and buy an amp. If you want a portable amp the V2^2 would be a great choice. I think it would be a waste to buy such nice cans and not have an amp for them though... -A

You have to be kidding...I just payed almost 20 for these. They're great, I think they sound better than some cans that are $50+. I really reccomend getting a pair of these if you can, especially at this price. -A
