I think they're going to eventually prove that there is no way to create unhackable hardware... At least not without gimping it so hard that the vast majority of the hardware's power goes to defending itself against attacks.
By the time they finish all of this, CPUs will all be single thread cores as fast as a 486, with the rest of the CPU being dedicated to realtime attack detection.
The Creation Engine was just a modification of an older engine, which was a mod of an even older engine that was used for a lot of games around 2002.
When they modded it into the Creation Engine they actually made it WORSE by also making TXAA a part of the engine core, which just makes thing...
I feel like everything is going back to the ancient roots. Nothing will be left in-line, everything you click will just take you to some window with a million things you don't need 99% of the time that you have to search through to find some function that was immediately available before.
Doesn't sound extreme when compared to laws already on the books for thing to protect corporations against individuals that can lead to fines larger than the person could earn in 10 lifetimes.
If it were 25 years ago I'd probably agree. But I seem to get headaches with it off now, so.. I don't recall my TV having that setting on by default though.
I really don't see the issue of it, considering the content of the game. The only thing I'm against with these kinds of things is if they're used out of place... If a game is based in gritty reality where you or the computer are portraying morally low or morally absent roles, then it's perfectly...
Rift is 10x worse. Going from a 780 to a 1080 Ti gave zero framerate increase to that game... WoW, however, I increased the settings and use 200% scaling and it runs noticeably faster.
Both games use old engines with stuff piled on to it, but, apparently WoW still has the ability to scale a...
I'm already paying NewEgg and Amazon taxes. This really hurts people who are disabled and on a fixed income.. I need to upgrade in a year or two.. When I built this last rig they didn't have the tax, I figure it'll take an extra 2 months of saving to cover it. I'm not particularly against...
I just think the whole thing should have not come back after Return of the Jedi. Because there is no way more than 1/3rd of the nerds would have liked anything that anybody came up with after that. No matter what the majority would have hated it since after that long of a hiatus everybody had...
Just seems like the idea of relaxing and playing a game is dying and it's just becoming another form of veiled after work work. "games" that will be designed to skirt the line and give the absolute minimum fun for the most work just to keep generating money.
It's stupid. They make controllers for people to attach to their mobile devices... Nintendo doesn't do that.. It's a device that is built in to the Nintendo Switch, not designed for general use on all mobile devices.
It's just way too generalized.. It's like using patents as a way to be a...
Yeah, well, if the US hadn't shunned (and continues to shun) investment in solar power development, the industry wouldn't be dominated by Chinese solar panels. The Chinese poured tons of money into one-upping us on that. Pretty smart for them. Sucks for us.
Yeah here in the US, in most restaurants, it's either Coke or Pepsi for the most part... The few places around here that have both just sell cans for a buck.
It's saying Verizon has gigabit service where I live, when I just talked to them a few months ago and they said they didn't, nor were they planning to have that service here.. They claimed the highest was 1.5mbps ASDL or some crap.
I've rarely had issues with Malwarebytes.. I think before this the worst thing was Malwarebytes 2.x making The Witcher 3 run like crap on Windows 10. The few programs I used before that had much worse bugs crop up, like hosing Windows or deleting game executables by mistake.
I'm just glad I...
