Thanks. I think i'm in for one.
Question, what is the advantage of plugging the Fiio in the receiver as opposed to plugging the headphones straight to the receiver headphone jack?
AFAIK, the OLD Ballistix were good RAM. When they were first introduced, Crucial used high end chips and were double sided . They "revised" the Ballistix and used cheaper memory and became single sided. These 'revised' single sided RAM are the crappy ones that keep on dying.
I'm still...
The only weapons i bring now are the A3-21 Plasma Rifle (for long/medium range) and The Terrible Shotgun for close combat ( a few mines and grenade too).
Usually, you get the better energy rifles later in the game and it is quite useless to sink points in energy skill early in the game...
The limitation to the damage is the fact that the weapons you mentioned have damage ratings of 30 for the Railway Rifle and 40 for the Sniper rifle. Depending on the condition of the weapon & skill, this could be more or less the damage value.
The other kits that you have, have higher...
The better the weapon condition, the higher the damage. When you're repairing, you can see the damage difference before and after repairs. So technically yes, a fully repaired weapon will make a difference. It is totally up to you if the difference between a 'fully' repaired weapon and a...
Crap, that sucks.
Is there ANY way to get around this like modding the bracket? I was thinking of getting the UD3P but I won't if the the Tuniq can't fit.
I've been using usenet for a while now so i know it's advantages and limitations. But as I said (and i'm glad we are in agreement) that more would rather buy the game for about $20, get the legit manuals, get the legit updates, get the legit support, get legit access to MP servers, while...
IMO, one way of lessening piracy is to price the game in such a way that 'would be pirates/leechers' would rather just buy the game legitimately instead of dealing with the hassle of pirating (ie looong download time, not guaranteed to work, virus in cracks etc.
I mean let's face it, one of...
I don't know if it was a good article. I mean how can she possibly compare and conclude that FO3 is " is everything that Fallout ever was" when she hasn't played the original series? It doesn't add up.
Hopefully FO3 will still be enjoyable despite the changes.
I played the original Wsteland game and I wish they could make an official sequel. But i think that Wasteland was originally owned by EA and the Wasteland rights were eventually sold to Brian Fargo's (original Wasteland producer and Interplay founder) company InXile.
I'm not sure if Fargo...
Back in the day manuals were as much as art form as the games themselves. In fact some of the copy protection schemes were in the manual itself (ie. what is the word on page 5, line 2 word 8) lol.
I still remember how thick and exhaustive the manual was for the Falcon 3.0 flight sim...
Lol. I remember having to tweak the Config.sys, autoexec.bat to free up the base memory all the fucking time. Nothing brings back memories like playing king's quest 1 on a 8086 green monitor with the internal PC speaker. Anyone remember 300 Baud modems and BBS's?
See, that's the thing. I you haven't played the previous Fallout 1 & 2, then you won't understand why there's such a big fuss over the changes in gameplay. Yes, arguably Fallout3 looks entertaining and decent, but it is definitely far from what the previous Fallout were.
Let's put it this...
The reason i suggested this is because in rare instances some UPS/surge protectors do not give out proper and consistent voltages. It might be possible that your PSU/ GPU is not getting enough juice.
Since you've tried everything else, why not take 30 seconds of your time and plug the...
Before flashing your BIOS make sure you backup your important files. I had an older mobo that i flashed through windows. Unfortunately, windows 'hanged' while flashing and i ended up bricking the mobo. CMOS reset will not usually fix a bricked mobo.
Since then, i've always used a floppy.
Try using the VGA port. You may have to use a DVI- VGA converter. Also, make sure your refresh rate is set properly and that it is compatible with the monitor.
Have you tried booting in safe mode and does show the POST info when you boot up?
Glad it worked for you. As Lamont and I mentioned, some Sceptre monitors are notorious for this. I do not know if BenQ exhibits this DVI port problem. If you do, at least you have several options such as using the VGA or perhaps the HDMI.
Hmmm... can you check if the refresh rate on your monitor is set at 60Hz (windows control panel). What monitor do you have?
If you have a spare DVI cable, i would try that out too. I had a *similar* issue with a different card, like there is no signal sent to the monitor at random times...
Lol. I remember those days. I was playing EA Michael Jordan vs. Larry Bird, King's Quest 1 and Wizardry 1 on a green monitor.
BTW, I believe CGA is 4 glorious colors. Then about a year later EGA came out with 16, then the early VGA with 256. Woooo!!!
While I did enjoy the game because of the immersive storyline, good graphics etc; I found the game short (despite doing all the quests). It was a great experience on the first run, but i don't think i'll be doing a replay.
The reason for this is because the battles became monotonous...
The first post has the links to ver 8.7.
I just downloaded and installed the latest drivers. Is there a fan control section in the Catalyst Control Center?
As many others have alluded to, my main gripe about Fallout 3 is that the game was developed not using Interplay/Black Isle studio materials, therefore a game pretty far from its original roots was created instead. When you have a 'new' team creating a follow up game, the game will most...
Gogamer usually has a sale on the Fallout collection, you just have to be patient. I think i got mine for $5 (Fallout 1, 2,Tactics).
As for Fallout 3, i've waited so long for the 'revival' of this game and i am curious what direction this is going. Games evolve whether we like it or not. I...
Brent & Kyle,
Thanks for the review.
Regarding the VisionTek Radeon HD 4850, the article states that Mass Effect game is included. I just bought this card from bestbuy and i did NOT find any game in the box.
Did anybody else get the Mass Effect game included in the Visiontek 4850?
