I could be wrong, but I don't think the gold series has been released yet. I've been really happy with my Seasonic PSU. It's 12 years old and in my third build. These new Prime series look awesome though.
Interesting. I just returned an Asus DirectCU GTX 660 today because it was too big for my case. Ended up ordering a Zotac 660 which is about 3 inches shorter than the Asus. This GTX 670 looks nice, although a bit out of my budget for now.
I just built a new PC that has Intel HD4000 onboard video. Even before I installed Windows, I had the picture shift in the BIOS. Just wondering if anyone else ever had the problem in the BIOS too. Thanks!
Hey guys,
I also had my monitor die on me. I was just within the warranty period so sent it in to LG. I thought for sure they'd send me a replacement, with an inferior monitor. Well just got it back and it powers on again :) I had no idea how common this problem is. If it wasn't under...
I'd like to get an ergonomic keyboard, but I use a Rollermouse at work and need a keyboard that doesn't have anything in the front section of it. Here's what a Rollermouse looks like:

As you can see, you need a keyboard that...
Hi Steve,
Just wanted to say thanks again for this slick deal :) I'm still loving this monitor. For anyone looking for one, I found a couple of places on line. Not sure if they're refurbs though:
Look at the first three shopping results:

Ok, thanks guys, I appreciate it. Meanwhile, I got the Acer, hooked it up, installed its drivers, etc. What is odd, to me at least, is that the max resolution it says in the Display properties is 2048 x 1536 and there is no option for the monitor's native 1680 x 1050. The closet is 1600 x...
This monitor is going to be used at work, strictly for business apps and maybe some video watching. I'm on a budget so these are my 2 choices:
AOC (Envision?) 22"

or
Acer 22"
Acer P221Wbd...
We have a 2 computer small business network with both machines running XP. The hard drive failed on one of the computers so instead of replacing the hard drive, we decided to just get a new computer. This is a work computer so I'm not going to be building it. So my question is since it seems...
What exactly does the OverrideEdidFlags0 key do for the monitor? What probs were you guys having? Just trying to figure out if I need this fix. I have WinXP with latest Nvidia drivers for my 5900 Ultra.
I have an LG L246WP and no buzzing at all. Good advice on trying a line condition as it could be your home's electrical system. You might also want to try a different DVI cable or VGA cable, whichever you are using.
Just picked up an HP 1230 CRT. Hooked it up and as it's booting, the lettering in the bios screen is fuscia (bright pink) instead of white. Then into Windows and everything that should be white is this awful fuscia color. Tried adjusting color on the monitor, but no luck. Anyone have any...
I have the LG L246WP and absolutely love it. I got a great deal at Circuit City but I doubt you'd be able to find one there anymore. I believe Newegg has them for around $550.
One thing I would try is calling Eizo. Maybe you'll get a nice rep who will be willing to exchange your unit. Tell them how you've heard such great things about their displays, and you were so happy to be able to buy one after saving up for several months. Now you've got your monitor and you...
Just be aware of Newegg's return policy on monitors. If I recall correctly, they are non-returnable. So if you get dead pixels or other problems, you are out of luck.
Considering what you must have paid for this, I would definitely do an exchange. By doing an exchange instead of return and rebuy, you should be able to avoid paying the new higher price.
Here's what I do: Right click desktop to get to Display Properties. Then click on Settings tab, and then click on Advanced. There you will see DPI Setting. I have mine set to 105% but you can play around with it to see what you like.
For web surfing, I use Avant browser. Under Tools...
I don't think they'll just send it to just send it, if you know what I mean. But if we tell them we're having a particular problem that is known to be fixed with the newer firmware maybe they would? I'll give it a try if you tell me what problem to say I"m having.
I have an LG L246WP. What I did was first chose sRGB in the monitor itself, then turned down the brightness. You could try some of these tools, which are free:
First off, you can check out how things look at this site: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/
This is another good site with lots of...
Well.....I just clicked on File, Flash Update Firmware, in SoftMCCS to see if it would search for a file, etc. Unfortunately it said "this cability is not available in public version of SoftMCCS."
I love my LG L246WP-BN 24". It's an P-MVA panel and looks great. They are hard to find though but you might be able to find one at Best Buy or Circuit City on clearance.
For those that got this monitor, I was checking some things out on this page, and found they have a color profile for the Nec monitor:
