I just looked at that. $648 for the pink special edition Nintendogs version. My wife wanted it until she saw the price.
Damn. :(
Guess that's where a little modding comes in handy. Buy the silver and get some automotive paint. :D
I usually play the upgrade game. Pay $300 here, $200 there, $50 for a 2.4C that can overclock pretty good... Keep up with the times.
Right now, my system isn't slow. 3.4 (2.4c oced to 3.4) P4 with HT, X800XT AGP, 1GB RAM.... Pick up parts cheap off friends, relatives, etc., the whole system...
I've noticed that they print on the EULA that if you don't agree with the terms to take the software back and get a refund. Ok, sounds good.
But, most, if not all, retailers will not take back opened software. So, if I don't agree with the EULA, I'm out of luck?! Too bad? Waste of money...
It's the same at car shows... Babe's all the way. The cars still get the attention...
I don't see how the chicks were doing anything bad... We all like to see a little T&A, even the girls like seeing it (come on, admit it... Please? ;) )
Oh, yea. I know what you're talking about now. I can't for the life of me remember it though. I played it, too.... Damn, now you have me wondering! :D
Could it be RoboBlitz? Or was it an older one, by a couple years?
I played with a 9550 (slower than a 9600se), and it played with the mentioned low res/low settings fairly well. But, it isn't very pretty, and it won't play anything coming out soon... Why upgrade to a downgrade?
Pussy. ;)
Mainstream is becoming hard core. Our hardcore 2 years ago. The bleeding edge is where we are... The mainstream try to emulate or keep up. It never happens. The early adopters are the hard core.
My parents have some inset speakers in their room with a hot tub, it gets real humid in there. But, they used marine speakers, and it seems to work.
Other than that, I'm really not sure. Outdoor speakers? They should hold up.
That would give the mouse/keyboard guys a major advantage in FPS's. It's a lot faster than the controller. So to keep an even playing field, I doubt it will happen.
I know a LOT of people that spend most of their time indoors. My brother in law. Gets home from work (office job), goes home play XBox 360/XBox the rest of the day. He still has his pool up from summer. Never goes camping, fishing, hunting, sports. He tried paintball, but that lasted 3 weeks. It...
I'd say you were right. The graphics are great, just not super 3D. There is still a lot of pixelization, etc. that doesn't come with the Gamecube. It's a great system, but not of GameCube quality.
You go outside?! :) I'd stick with that, too. I've seen too many vidiots; all pale and either way skinny or chubby. But they've beat every Mario 20x, Zelda, etc...
Awesome for you that you have a hobby involving outside. Great, isn't it?
I don't really believe in race. I belive in cultures/environments. Black, white, asian, eskimo, indian, mexican. The difference? They come from different places in the world. A black guy, asian guy, mexican and english guy all raised in the same house. Are they different? Not really. Sure, they...
Is strapping a $250 water cooling system worth it over a $30 heatsink? I think not. It's the bleeding edge, it's what we like.
Why not spend $$ on a new product that gives a 1-5% performance increase? We pay $300 more for a 10% increase on video cards... Exaggeration, I know... But, the...
You don't answer emails, PM's... Glad I got your attention, but I need some communication here. I'm doing my best to resolve this issue, but I need you to help out a little bit, please. It's your money, and I am willing to refund you.
Please get back to me, either here or at...
Not a problem at all. Some CPU fans can't be done that way (unless you turn off the fan monitoring in the BIOS), but your fan won't have a problem at all. It's all safe!
I'm working on building a new wc setup, but had a couple questions.
I have a Comair Rotron 176mm (?) and a Panaflo 120mm fan. The Comair is loud! But, I plan on using a fan controller to control the RPM's. Now, I know the Comair pushes some serious air. I mean a LOT! Question is: Does having...
I'd keep the 360 and build a small PC. Even with some minimal parts, you can still do light gaming.
Of course, a HDTV will greatly enhance the 360. Big time. The VGA will work great, too, but on a 55" screen: Awesome.
On the other hand, once you've played the 10 games out for the 360, you...
Basically the small snip you suggested is the general troubleshooting guide for most software, very general. I know we get a lot of posts that can be cleared up by newer drivers, corrupt DX, heat issues, spyware, etc.
So, I'd say yes.
I doubt going into too much detail, i.e. individual...
Dell get's them first. Ok. Marketing and Money ploy.
Screw the enthusiasts as soon as possible in the game.
I'd rather see the enthusiasts get a taste first (us), then go to the mainstream users and cookie cutter PC makers. Kinda makes it look like they care about money and...
Internet speed will not be affected, unless you have one hell of a pipe. 11Mb or 54Mb is a lot higher than most internet speeds.
Latency isn't really an issue, if at all.
But for transferring large files, after a while it gets REAL old. I like the Gb-E. Fast.
100Mb was a huge jump...
They are reliable, but slower. 54Mb ~40 real world with great signal (for the 802.11g). They have some issues, people leeching off your signal, signal loss, etc..
You can get PCI wireless adapters, USB, built in on some laptops, or a PCMCIA card.
If you plan on getting a laptop or...
Get a laptop or PocketPC with 802.11b/g and most of the time it finds the network by itself. There are some security things that you can do, but it depends on where you live, how much you trust your neighbors, etc.
I love wireless. I love the freedom. If you don't have a laptop or anything...
I hope it turns out ok. For me, Atari has really done some shitty work lately, from not supporting games, to releasing buggy games to get them out of the door (Terminator Rise of the Machines).
I signed up, as it looks pretty awesome! My kind of game, if it works like it should.
There are routers for <$30 with built in 10/100 switch (4 port). Look at WalMart or something. That's all you'd need.
The router will give you an IP address for both, and you can share that connection. Real easy to setup.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Heres one with wireless...
There's rumors of a career mode in this one, as well as missions. So, those wanting a game are doing better.
And the jump from 2000 to 2004 is a big one. Autogen, clouds, textures, planes.
Like I've said before, addon's really make this sim amazing. New textures, water effects, planes...
I'm running a CH Products Yoke & Pedals. A H U G E Improvement over the MS Sidewinder FF joystick. It made a world of difference. Looking to do some more for a mock cockpit.
Big reason why I won't go to WinXP 64 bit... RealityXP Garmin 530 GPS is only a 16bit app, and won't work with it. I'm...
That's the arguement FOR backups. In case you lose them.
You might contact EA, but they usually require proof of purchase or a copy of the broken CD. In your case, you don't have any remains of the originals.... You might try and see what happens. Otherwise, obtain a backup.
FLIGHT simulator. Not crash simulator. Not Combat flight simulator. You fly. The purpose is to fly in the sky, to NOT crash. For die hard simmers, it isn't a game. :D
I haven't crashed a plane in FS for a long time, and when I did it was because I overstressed the aircraft, or it was a new...
