Hopefully, it will have the excitement of a fresh influx of players. ;) If we're lucky, the movement, feel, balance, weapons, maps, etc. will also keep things fresh.
That said, reviving a forgotten genre is not really about having something new and revolutionary. It's about refining a game...
This is definitely the kind of game that would capture my interest, if I had the time to play online games...but I still might MAKE time to bring back some of the good old UT feelings.
I never bought UT3 due to all the problems with the beta: On an aesthetic level, UT2k4 went too far in the...
Exactly. I don't text and drive, but I demand exclusive control over my tools. I don't want my own discretion and judgment to be overridden by some bureaucratic know-it-all, both on principle and because of the simple fact that they can't anticipate every possible future context (and neither...
It's more like the US government is releasing its stranglehold over ICANN. There is some danger of increased domain censorship, but there's also a chance the new management could be more resistant to censorship as well, if copyright zealots lose enough influence for instance. Either way, the...
...now THAT was too much Fox News talking. The "tell" is the repetition of the "Obama is weak" meme combined with a total ignorance as to the US government's explicit meddling that led to the whole Ukraine mess in the first place. (It started with a reckless and shameless regime change...
Try this one for the credibility you seek:

It's not the worst example of course, just a run-of-the-mill story I had off hand. While I'm at it though, here's...
Of course Bachmann is insane, but her mindset isn't really so different from yours: She's a raging lunatic who believes the US government should have absolute power internationally, and you apparently believe the US government should have absolute power domestically.
I know very well what...
They "get reported" to the complicit Department of Justice...by which completely unbiased and independent entity?
Also, emphasis on "if they want to," which is about one time out of a billion or so.
"But xX326Xx says they aren't actually doing it, and Icpiper says it's no big deal!"
Anyone who claims the NSA limits their data collection based on anything other than the extreme limits of their technological capability is fooling themselves.
URGH. I'll reiterate in PROPER list form:
It provided opportunities for the NSA to lie to cover things up and later be caught in that lie.People aren't capable of comprehending ALL of the leaks all at once. It would be equivalent to a huge wall of text that's tl;dr and goes ignored.The...
No, there are three perfectly rational reasons for "drip-leaking" the way he does:
[LIST=1]It provided opportunities for the NSA to lie to cover things up and later be caught in that lie.
People aren't capable of comprehending ALL of the leaks all at once. It would be equivalent to a huge...
You guys just don't understand. Look at this from an extraterrestrial's point of view: When you look down on Earth, you see a whole planet full of dumb apes with a high time preference taking out payday loans to buy iGadgets and bombing each other at the slighest provocation. The chances of...
Was there ever any doubt beyond the willfully ignorant? The NSA abides by absolutely no legal or ethical restrictions; their spying has only been restricted by the expanding limits of technology. If any ordinary person did a single thing to a single person out of the thousands of things the...
ep0x73, I should add this:
I just learned that Steam stopped permanently disabling entire accounts about two years ago and replaced it with a more sane/reassonable policy: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30324377
Assuming that's still accurate, it resolves their absolute...
No kidding. Governments and authoritarian apologists love talking about how terrorists and pedophiles would abuse anonymous secure communication, but nothing will change the fact that governments have committed orders of magnitude more murders and atrocities over the course of human...
Oh, CRAP. This is why I need to preview things before I send them...no edit. Okay, the big "second paragraph" after the first list should be another list, and I'll reproduce it here for better readability:

So, why does the Steam community idolize Steam/Valve so much...
You ask a very good question actually. Steam is a double-edged sword, and I have a love/hate relationship with it. On the one hand, the way you phrase it is perhaps more apt than you know, and I'll get Steam's downsides out of the way first:
Steam has one of the worst Terms of Service/EULA's...
I forgot to mention that I set up my account before actually buying the bundle. That might account for the difference in our situations...either that or it's nondeterministic altogether.
Sorry setting up an account didn't work for you, but hopefully I at least gave you some more peace of mind...
It seems like their system might be having an issue with sending out email links to claim your games. To avoid problems, I would suggest doing the following:
1.) Register an account. They only need an email and password.
2.) Click the link in your email to activate it, then click the button...
They really are valid insights about the sales figures though. They break a lot, and if you're heavily invested in the system with a large game library, you might as well go get another one. Discussing this doesn't mean you're hating on the system: I tend to like my 360 better than my PS3...
If the government is telling the truth about our data being safe, the corrolary is that the data Manning and Snowden could access was inconsequential, because we still don't fully know about the vast majority of the data they keep on us.
I still have an XP box myself, since ATI All-in-Wonder cards only have decent drivers for Windows XP, and practically all of the analog capture devices released since are crap.
You, ZenDragon, and Tudz are men (women?) after my own heart, haha.
To some extent I understand why some older utilities are named so badly: They've been in use since the Unix days, and the old Unix wizards probably never realized how widely their abbreviated acronymitis would spread. I also...
