Thanks for sharing. Are you accomplishing the all P-cores OC by setting all the Peformance Core Ratios manually to 60? (vs as an example how I have set to 60, 60, 58, 58, 56, 56, 56, 56) ?
So far with this KS CPU, it definitely appears to be more efficient (less gate leakage?) as it doesn't get...
Folks
I continue to use EVGA's Precision X software (on Windows 10) with my RTX 4080 FE to (mainly) control fan speeds and lighting on the card. Not sure if it's just me but my Precision X software has been a little more flakey than usual and not sure if EVGA will continue to update this with...
Sucks to hear. I have not had a card fail in a lllooongg time so can't say anything to how nVidia will respond but hopefully it's responsive. Anything you can point to that might've caused the card to 'break'? Were you pushing beyond stock at all?
Sweet build!! Love the understated elegance. I am using the exact combo (4080 FE and Corsair cable). Besides the price point being silly, I really dig the FE cooler design this generation, both functionally and aethestically. When I inevitably upgrade to the next best thing (4090 Ti, whatever)...
Nice! Never knew this existed. Just had the beautiful, fugly beige (or black) floppy drive sticking out the front panel and puked everytime I looked at my PC.
Also remember always having a FLOPPY drive installed but not neccessarily connected...in case some sort of IDE driver needed to be loaded during OS install. Floppy drives....
I did exactly as you did, sir. Was trolling Best Buy (account logged in) hoping to find a 4090 FE. Negative. But there was a 4080 FE...bought it. Picking it up today from local shop.
Congrats on your new rig!! Looks awesome!
Tried Googling the issue but cannot find anything specific to my setup. I'm running 2 machines connecting to a Dell gaming monitor (S2721DGF), gaming machine (RTX 3080) and a Dell T430 server using a Quadro RTX T600 GPU.
With the Dell monitor connected to the Dell and T600 GPU, at random times...
Good to know, thank for that! I usually always set my memory to its XMP profile within BIOS and typically (at least in ALL my Intel boards over the years) that has set the mem voltage the appropriate level. Will certainly double check that within the bios and Fluke RMS (if I can on this board)...
Awesome. Was hoping it was just that easy, thanks guys! Will definitely do BIOS first and Set Defaults before tweaking the BIOS to my liking and moving towards final OS/driver installs.
Hey All,
Recently walked into a Micro Center and they had a 5950X and Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme X570 in stock, so picked them up. Also grabbed (4x16GB) 64GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro PC3600 modules, and a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB SSD. Will be reusing my EVGA RTX 2080 Super until I can come across a...
Well, if anyone cares to know...I've had it with this Maingear case. It's perfect for standard ATX or mini-ATX boards and air cooling. Honestly, if I left everything as I had it BEFORE the Corsair hardlines cooling schananagins begun, it would be perfect. But alas, its just too damn small for my...
Nasgul, did you notice that once you get the tubing to 'fit' into the different connectors, it's a noticeable 'slip' feeling as the tubing mates to the connector. But after having had to remove/unremove connections several times during the start of the build, I'm seeing very small slices of the...
Well, got the return line from the CPU to the radiator installed. Heating and bending the PMMA is actually very easy, just need a little patience (and a pair of gloves to not burn your hands). While the line is not as pretty as I'd like, I think it'll get the job done. The most difficult thing...
Just getting started on the build. Had to breakout the dremel tool to allow my 3-slot RTX 2080 Ti to fit on the side mount, using a Phantex PCIe bridge cable to the mobo. Somehow it's all now going to fit. Bought an extra couple sets of PMMA 14mm tube to have one set to fuck-up, while the second...
So I decided to go with a full Corsair Hyro X Series hardline cooling system. All parts are in including 14mm hardlines tubing and fittings. Couple of questions for you experienced hardliners. Are people just using a heat gun to make the fancy bends vs using adapters for 45 and 90's? Also, what...
There are no fanboys, only decent people responding to the OP's question about which Intel (not AMD) chip is best for him. Lets pause for the AMD fanboys that can't mentally comprehend that and help with the question at hand. Give me a break...
Nasgul...that is a beautiful setup! You appear to be as OCD as me when it comes to cleanliness and organization with the window. Thanks for sharing all the details.
I have a new build using the parts in my sig. Currently using 2x140mm intakes, 2x140mm top of case out flow and 1x120mm outflow on the rear. Case is a maingear Vybe 2019 case. Current CPU cooler is a Notcua NH-U12A with dual 120mm fans.
With my i9-9900k OC'ed to 5Ghz gaming temps never reach...
Why post this?! Yes, people (ppl) are still buying Intel as it's still a solid product. AMD is making terrific strides as well, but not everyone wants to make the change.
OP: In hindsite I should've just ordered the 9700K and saved the coin. My 2 bits..
I've been totally living under a rock of life and working to much so I ask forgiveness ahead of time. Started playing FC5 the other day on my GTX1080 and thought, "would be nice to have a little more horsepower to really crank up the resolution scaling...maybe a 1080Ti would be a fun purchase?!"...
GeForce Hotfix driver 344.80
This is a beta driver that addresses the following issues:
GeForce GTX 980 displays texture shimmering when Texture Filtering Quality set to High Quality.
GPU outputs fuzzy lines over DisplayPort after a period of time following driver updates.
System hang up...
Great video! Thanks for posting. I certainly could've used that gentleman's services many times with my Taylorcraft BNF and 450 size RC helis!! Damn trees.
Hey guys,
Just reformatted and rebuilt my father-in-laws laptop and installed Office 2010 Pro with Outlook 2010. Prior to reformatting his HDD, I exporting the PST file from Outlook 2003 and selected all sub folders, etc to be exported.
After setting up Office 2010 on the newly reformatted...
+1 for that. I love my 1921 paired up with a 2960 for switching. Trick is knowing someone who works for/or owns a Cisco Gold certified partner/re-seller. I paid $585 for my 1921. ;-)
But I REALLY like the performance of RT-N66U as an AP!! It seems I'm getting an average of 360Mbps under...
Looks like these are coming out today???! I noticed this blurb on the side of the drivers download page, but apparently not available 'yet' for download as of 9:37am CST...

Thanks for the info! Absolutely loved playing the original Halo game on PC. Any chance we'll see the anniversary edition on PC, or is this Xbox 360 only?
EDIT: Looks like console only, HENCE you posting this in the console forum. Durrr!!! Sorry
