Hey thanks for the responses ... yea that ASRock board even looks nice. I'm leaning towards it only cause it's under $170 Right I guess I knew that the SATA3 controller was NOT using the Intel controller. So I guess not true SATA3 support? The MSI looks like a nice board to w/a good price...

The south bridge is ICH10 & no it does NOT have native SATA raid support. That's why I'm asking for a Raid Card suggestion. Not an OS raid or software raid. If I wanted that I would just do that. Please stop suggesting things I'm not asking for. If you don't have a raid card suggestion...

Looking to run raid on non raid board & looking for an inexpensive solution. I am using the 16x port for a video card. & have four 1x ports free to use. I'm guessing the 1x port should be enough to run 2 HDDs in Raid - 0? I've normally run onboard raid on most of my rigs, so not too...

I'm sure they were all NON Functioning consoles that were beyond repair & either to be recycled or re-integrated w/new hardware. So blowing them up would be actually helping the recycling process along that much faster. ;)

Hey I sent you a message about this BIOS file. Just wondering if anyone has the batch file(runme.bat) to execute this? Unable to run it.

Can that BIOS be used same way? Running runme.bat for flash?

Totally agree w/you on that. I've owned many an A-bit board & all were workhorses. Overclocked like demons & were far more stable than most. Anyways, this beta BIOS can be flashed using same runme.bat? Friend has old IP35 & wants to run a Q9550 on it.

Already has BIOS18 installed when he got it.

That's the IP35-E ... he's using a IP35 .... anyways the board supprts a E8400 45nm dualcore. So why not a 45 nm quadcore?

I have question about same CPU. Friend has IP35 that's not posting a working Q9550. Pop in the old E8400 & it posts. Pop Q9550 in diff board it works. I told him to clear CMOS & try again. Good advice? Or should he try something else?

Found it BTW ... in Win7 they added a communications tab. When Windows detects communications. It was set to lower volume by 80% :rolleyes: So it's off now & there's the info for anyone else.

Not soo much like or dislike it ... just more familiar w/the layout. Usually a few more options.

I haven't used AMD for quite a few years. So I have no idea which boards use which BIOS anymore. I'd prefer a board that uses PHX award BIOS & not AMI BIOS. Anyone know which board makers still use this BIOS? MSI/Asus/Gigabyte ... any of them really. Looking for an AM3 board to grab an AMD...

Well I could be listening to WMP & goto a web page that's playing audio, & my WMP audio will get lower. Like the audio gets muted, so you can hear the web page play. When I close the web page or goto a diff one. It sometimes raises the WMP audio back up. It's not lowering it on the player...
