You don't need a floppy drive if you have a USB flash drive, just google "Boot from a USB flash drive", you need to download an HP Tool and then select it in BIOS and then you can update your BIOS with it
What BIOS are you currently running?
Just try it d00d.
Sometimes motherboards that have "Auto" don't lock the bus speeds properly, so even though on "Auto" it should be at 100 it might not be, it might have raised it for some reason. Its merely a suggestion. It may or may not work, but you won't know until you try it. Same...
You're a flippin moron for assuming they would honor the price to begin with. Yes all of us tried, just in case - but there isn't a single intelligent person among those who ordered that didn't consider this as the most likely conclusion.
It was worth a shot, it failed. Get over it.
Did you get with newegg? I had the same thing happen to me, price dropped $20 on the EVGA I got last week. I just got on their live chat and they are crediting the $20 back to me. You should probably do the same
A lot of questions are answered here and the various links on this page

I've done business with both and won't do business with MSI again, simply because I don't need to. EVGA is, bar none, one of the best companies I've ever done business with for computer products.
EVGA cross-shipped a brand new Motherboard after receiving a defective one from Newegg. IF you...
I just got off with Dell Chat support, my est ship date is now 12/24. My order page and everything still says 12/11 but the CSR said that this was pushed back again and wont reflect on the order page until after 12/11.
I ordered early in the morning on 11/26. Looks like I will be cancelling...
I think your forgetting that MSRP is $200-250 as stated by nvidia for these cards, the reason they're $300 right now is because of high demand and short supply. When those equal out and there is enough or more then enough supply to meet the demand, we'll see MSRP prices. It should be $200 for...
You could order the new 8800GTS V2 which was apparently silently launched this morning but is only available on one website.
Quite a bit of speculation about it but according to the evga forums its legit and is really 112 SPs even though it says 96+. Reviews should be out shortly, I would think
I've been thinking a lot about flashing to a Jetway BIOS as well, but I'm also afraid to do it. For the most part if seems that its worked for most people, but I've also read on more then one occasion where it hasn't. Is there a particular Jetway BIOS revision that is working on the eVGA...
That reminds me of another question I had. What is LDT voltage exactly?? That confused me so I left it alone. And also, how hot is VERY VERY hot?
Thanks for your help BTW
Can you let me know the voltage you have on you CPU and what HSF your using. I have the same RAM and I was able to get my 3000+ Venice to Post and do fine @ 250x9 with the rated 3-4-4-8-1t timings, FSB was also 250 and HT was on 600. And I did this @ the stock 1.4 volts. I even ran benches...
As I said in that thread, no I didn't. However it still identified the drive fine and I installed windows fine. I'm currently running windows fine as well, but its D: instead of C:
Not a big deal, but I still don't like to have everything on D: instead of C:
I assume this is because my...

Thats the biggest problem I've been experiencing with this board. Been unable to find a solution, and since there seems to be more people with this motherboard on this forum, I was wondering if anyone has seen it and can help...
One lesson you will learn, cheaper isn't always better. If you are planning to OC, then the PSU becomes even more important. I am with the others, get a better PSU. Personally I recommend the OCZ Modstream, 520 Watt should be good, but thats me. Otherwise, Antec, Thermaltake, OCZ, Vantec and...
If your going to overclock it, the Winchester is better. Its manufactured on the 90 nm process, which allows it to run cooler at a lower voltage. Which allows it to be overclocked more.
Like others have said, just get the 3500+ at newegg for $270 and call it good. Then you can upgrade later to probably something like a 4000+ or 4200+ for the same price and still have spent less overall then you did for the FX chip.
This thread is funny. I have the exact same config, except I use the Zalman power HSF, and I can confirm that this thing is a beast, except I don't see any way he could have gotten it to 3 ghz, especially at such a low voltage. I am running 2.4 Ghz (200x12) at 1.65 and it won't go any higher...
