    Widescreen Gaming...Is It Worth It?

Isn't that was Zoom Player Pro and FFDshow do? Take a look at some HTPC stuff, and you'll see that upscaling has been on PC's long before it was on set top players.

a monitor to do it all?

I just upgraded from a 24" Dell 2405 to a Westinghouse 42" monitor. All I have to say is wow. The Westinghouse has HDMI as well as DVI imput that allows up to 1080p (1920x1080). No dead pixels, no banding issues, only one lockup that was easily fixed, and overall just a good monitor for all...

    Good price on 42" Westinghouse?

I bought this monitor a few weeks ago when it was on sale for 1500. I got the 4-year service plan and got it out the door for around 1800ish. I've been using it as a general monitor and HTPC monitor and I must say that I've had nothing but good things with it. Firmware 1.16, no lockups/dead...

    Has this happened to you?

For my summer book money I'm a cashier at my local Wal-Mart. Yeah, the register always prompts us on age restricted items, which includes booze/games/movies/paint/medicine. We are SUPPOSTED to punch the DoB into the register if the customer is under 27 and let the all knowing computer tell us...

    Care of a laptop?

If its always plugged in, and you won't be needing the battery for a long time, you need to remove the battery. I'm assming its a lithium ion, so you'll want it to be discharged to around 40%, then store it in a dust free enviroment at around 45-55 degrees Farenheit.

    Raid 0 Question

My motherboard (MSI Neo2-Platinum) bit the dust over thanksgiving break, so I bought a new one the other day. My question is this: even though it is the exact same motherboard/raid controller, do I have to reinstall Windows onto my Raid 0 array? I'm not sure whether or not I have to, but I...

    Cutting Carbon Fiber.....

Few quick questions about this. How thick are the plates? Were they made professionally or did you buy the CF, put epox and tatting on it, and voila? I've had quite a bit of expirence with CF, but mine has all been home brew (well sorta homebrew, I've done work on a solar car and fuel cell...

Every time I've had to transport mine (i.e. back to school and home again) I've always used the original box, if you don't have that, then I'd recommend bubble wrap with a something to protect the lcd itself.
