Funny how this thread dies towards the end of the year, everyone holding out to be the first to post in the 2012 thread i suspect.

@billmoney-
You need to insert your images using the image URL and not the imageshack web page.
So "http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/4907/img0476vu.jpg" vs "http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/37/img0476vu.jpg/"
That is a gorgeous setup you have there. Next big upgrade will definitely include a nice eyefinity setup. Very nice setup you have there though, props.
Some updates to my "Man Cave", finally got the Cabinets finished and Cleaned up a bit.....
The workstation...
Rest of the room...
And the Garage...
Workbench needs a bit of cleaning up, working on the new Windows Home Server
The M.A.M.E. machine i finished a few years...
When i was 12 i believe i had a 286/12mhz with 1mb or ram and a 4gb hard drive.
Used to play game like Trade Wars on BBS's (Wiki it kids) ;)
Damn I'm feeling old now.
Has been several months in the making, but I'm finally close to finished with my new media room. Still need to build the cabinet doors for the built in, and do some molding.
Just wanted to show it off!
Just score it with a utility knife, the ones that take an angled razor, and snap it off. Use the edge of a strait surface.
The same can apply for curves, will just leave little jagged parts that you will need to sand.
With somthing as thick as 1/4" it will require really deep scoring.
I have been rewiring my house with CAT6 and at least 2 outlets per room.
Before the rewire i had about 6 or 7 network switches linked around the house, Not very reliable.
So now all is run to my equipment rack i built in the garage, Just hope heat doesn't become too much of an issue next...
From my MCE experience, with the exception of an HD tuner, your tuners have to use the same channel lineup. So if you had one tuner using basic cable, and the other trying to use the cable box (aditional HBO, etc) MCE will complain.
This may have been remedied since i built me HTPC, so...
I do have a trackball I was planning to integrate into the center of the control panel, just havn't gotten around to installing it yet.
I am using the i-pac interface....

And I got the controls, buttons, etc. from...

That one in just temp. Printed in myself on my inkjet.
You can have them printed at mamemarquees.com
I was planning on printing a new one myself at work on the large format printers.
Wish i got more pictures of the build process, but i just wanted to get it done towards the end.
Gotta have a plan...
And the cutting begins. Almost spent a whole day just cutting all the wood.
I was so excited just to get the side pieces cut.
The base, added the casters...
Well i already had the television (10 year old JVC 27"), and the computer and speakers.
Probably spent $500 in materials, buttons, used coin mech, i-pac interface etc.
You'll need a router and special bit to cut the slot for the T-molding, as well as other basic wood tools. Circular saw...
Does this count as a Case mod?

Running MAME 1.05b and mamewah as front end.
Built from the ground up. Machine specs nothing special, just a spare I had laying around.
Can post more pics of build process if interest.
I dig it, was the right price, think i paid $99 for it at staples, and has plenty of room.
My only complaint was the small keyboard tray, but I remedied that by just picking up a larger particle board shelf and using it in place of the tray board.
Monitor stand painted to match.
Been drolling over this monitor since it was announced, and of coarse I had to make everything else match the color scheme.
And of coarse what's the point in having this georgeous monitor without a complete system upgrade =).
Without looking at the problem myself, between and hard drive wierdness, and the possible bad memory, you might want to try a new motherboard. When I've had unexplainable problems such as your describing in the past, it turns out to be somthing wacky with the motherboard itself.
Another vote for the MX1000 here, well worth the high price tag. With the built in lithium battery, you can go for weeks without charging it, plus the lithium battery is much lighter then the two AA.
As far as getting the MX due, not sure its worth it. Not alot of need for a wireless...
