Yeah. I don't understand why people are thrilled with the leaked specs of a 980Ti - I understand it will cost less in the short term but in the long term... 6GB is becoming the norm if you want things to run smoothly. In another 2 years or less it could be a requirement. Personally I don't like...
My EVGA Titan X Superclocked has been smooth as ice on 16GB.
You will only need the 24GB+ for a memory swap and there are not any games taking advantage of more than 12GB GDDR5 yet...but this amount of usage will not be common place for maybe another 2 to 3 years down the road. (Curious to...
We're still a long ways off for this card let a lone Pascal. The Titan X JUST came out - can't we at least enjoy it and let it have its limelight for a bit first?
In related news I just got my EVGA GTX Titan X Superclocked from newegg today - won't have time to play with it until this weekend...
w00t my EVGA Geforce GTX Titan X Superclocked just was shipped from Newegg today - should get it later this week - was lucky to snag one on 3/20/2015 :D
Completely agree 1000% - the PSU it seems to me sooo over looked in a system and it's like the heart of a computer setup - if you don't have a good ticker you have a good chance of flatlining.
Actually if you read the forums listed here:
http://forums.evga.com/System-Requirements-for-Titan-X-m2310062.aspx#2310149
The manual is misprinted and the website from Nvidia is accurate. This is supposedly confirmed by the EVGA tech guy who said this is directly from Nvidia.
That being said...
It's just speculation...but search google for nvidia+20nm or even 16nm and see what comes up. Where there is smoke there is usually a fire.
Example: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/tsmc-apple-nvidia-denver-finfet,27538.html
Again, just speculation, but it's got me thinking it could be a...
Again got it from Amazon last night...I did 3-5 day delivery...status right now says it's "shipping soon" with an estimated delivery date of 5/23/2012
Not a major rush for me...I willl still need an entire new build to use it (see sig below) lol....
I am liking this board...also looking into the MSI Z77 GD80 are there any real differences between these two boards besides Thunderbolt? And does anyone know when the GD80 is supposed to be released?
I wasn't able to post here since I was at work tonight...but from the recent updates looks like all the major retailers got stock of the EVGA cards...
In fact...I was browsing the EVGA cards on Amazon tonight around 5:30 EST and the EVGA GeForce GTX680 SC SIGNATURE 02G-P4-2683-KR had only 2...
The nVidia "counterpart" to the 4870X2 will be a 55nm 280 GX2 coming out in August...which will have a performance boost...not a "big" boost...just enough to take the performance crown again.
Then in Q1 2009 we will get a 380GTX 55nm, 256 Bit bus, GDDR5, with DirectX 10.1 support.
At least...
I'm not sure Deus Ex 3 will be any good without Warren Spector involved in the project either. However, I highly doubt they can make a game worse than Deus Ex 2, so here's hoping they pull it off.
By the way doesn't the title say games flying under the radar of "this fall"? Deus Ex 3 won't be...
You should look into The Witcher, Crysis, HL2: Orange Box, Unreal Tournament 3, and Assassins Creed...all coming out in Q4 of this year and all look amazing thus far.
As for next year, here's some other big titles that are supposed to be released:
Project Origin aka F.E.A.R. 2 made by Monolith...
I just got done installing my new Enermax Galaxy 1kw PSU I got from newegg (after I RMA'd the first one because it was defective) into my new build.
Everything is working perfectly EXCEPT now my Lite-ON SATA DVD Burners (LH-20A1S - I have 2) will not read or burn any media put into them. I...
What's the point if you want to play all of your games at max settings NOW? Personally, I don't want to wait a year or more to play Crysis at max settings when I can go out now and buy the parts that can do that.
If you stayed up-to-date on when new architures are coming out you won't have this problem.
You see..when you bought this stuff about 1.5-2 years ago you paid a decent price. About 1 year ago Conroe came out and rewrote all performance and benchmarks - thus AMD and Intel went in a price war -...
Ah, you missed out - the Lake Yantar area of the game is one of the best designed levels/sections in ANY game I've ever played - extremely fun and extremely creepy! (especially if you play this part at night..alone in your room)
But you can't get there until about 75% through the game and...
You tell me, which would you rather have: Boring medpacks which you have to take the time to find and doesn't make any different experience to gameplay or an innovattive game which tries something new and different while being somewhat more "realistic".
I'd choose the latter.
Because...
Yeah, exactly what I thought - and that this is exactly what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - SoC should have been.
:(
If Ubisoft can get the animals in the environment to interact with you and have some of them be enemies (i.e. Lions etc.) then this game might actually be better than Crysis - but just...
If such a high requirement game made your PC restart in the middle of game play, but your other games run fine, I'd think it was more likely your PSU needs to be upgraded because your CPU and Video card should run that just fine.
Did I interpret this correctly? You guys are getting to try out the alpha now and the game is supposed to be release in less than 2 months? How is it possible the game is going to meet it's scheduled release date of October 30th?
You have to be kidding me. Here's just a few of the "high-end" games going to be released this year! Patience my friend.
1. Supreme Commander
2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - SoC
3. BioShock
4. Orange Box - HL2: Ep. 2 / TF2 / Portal
5. ET: Quake Wars
6. The Witcher
7. Hellgate: London
8. Crysis
9...
If you can afford to spend a little more I'd look into the HD595's - trust me you won't regret it - I own a pair of these now - and they are beautiful - can't wait till I get my Auzentech Prelude tomorrow to fully test them out. The HD595's are the perfect combination for gaming, music, and...
Check out the DFI P35 T2R or any of the other P35 mobo's in my sig all should be extremely good if you're aiming to be able to use the Yorkfield/Wofldale processors and a single graphics card.....but if you're trying to get an amazing SLI/Crossfire setup you might want to wait until October for...
