This is a custom made Brazilian mahogany desk. Solid as rock! It's almost 10 years old, I think.
The receiver is an old Brazilian 1976' Polyvox PR1800. I posted its specs a while ago in this thread. Here they are again:

It's a Brazilian Polyvox PR1800, from 1976. Here are its specs:
- Power per channel: 28W RMS@8 ohms / 35W RMS@4 ohms
- Frequency response: 15 Hz - 80 kHz (-3 dB)
- THD: 0,15% @ 1 kHz, max output power
I have some JBL Control 1Xtreme speakers hooked to it, as you can see. It's a nice setup to...
Mine is simple:
The only change from last year's workstation is the case. I've replaced my old white Casemall Solid case for a Coolermaster Centurion 532:
I don't like white either. I prefer black or dark grey/graphite blinds.
Black blinds are great for me because of the morning sun in the summer. Before I got these, I had some ugly gray curtains which didn't block the sun and, as a result, my home office was about 27ºC-30ºC by this time of...
vapb400, it's a nice custom-made italian chair.
Goat_187, those are nice Harman/Kardon speakers. Old, ugly, but good speakers. I'll probably replace them for a Klipsch or Altec Lansing setup in the future. Do you have any suggestions for a stereo speaker system, for music listening?
DejaWiz, these prices are killing me. A friend of mine bought me this card for $170 at NewEgg. If I were to buy it here, I'd pay about $340. :( If I travel to the USA this year, I'll buy one of these, for sure.
Rustedimpala, nice pic! My concern about weight is quite high too because my...
Thanks for the feedback!
DejaWiz, the Stasis Thermal cooler is too expensive for me. I'd have to import it and thanks to our nasty taxes it'd cost me approximately $100 (the website price is $44.99). I don't like the idea of spending $100 to refresh my $170 video card. :(
revenant, see the...
Hello guys!
I have this card here:
eVGA 6600GT AGP
I live in Brazil and it's really hot here. Today the ambient temperature is 25ºC (and it's winter) and my video card is running at 59ºC idle and 90ºC full load (clocks are 550/1125). Using stock clocks, the temperature is still...
This case has a lot of potential indeed. The 2nd place in Coolermaster's Case Mod Contest last year is a case just like mine (although it's black instead of ivory).
The front drives me nuts, though. I still don't know what to do. Need suggestions!
Thanks for the feedback!
Passive Anubis: this setup is old indeed but it suits my needs for now. Next month I'll be upgrading my RAM to 1GB of Crucial Ballistix sticks because of my work.
Kaiga: yeah, that front is the main drawback. I'm still thinking about what I should do to make it...
Update: new window with 80x80 mm fan.
Unfortunately the new fan doesn't match the ones I've already had. I guess I'm ordering some new rear fans pretty soon.
cornelious0_0 is always the first to show up! :)
Thanks for the advice!
About my firewire PCI bracket: I don't get it. How am I supposed to hide those wires under my mobo? I mean, the last bracket has some wires which goes to the back of my case (connections between my sound card and front...
henesseynalert - I have already ordered a 15" LCD. My monitor is a prehistorical 17" Dell M770 which I bought in 1998 or 1999, I don't remember. It does need replacement indeed!
UT-Jackal - Yes, you got it. My mouse and my keyboard are on that pull-out tray. About my case front: I don't like...
Thanks for the feedback!
Ok, here's the situation:
- My board is an A7N8X-E Deluxe, rev 2.xx
- I use 2x256 Geil Golden Dragon DDR400 in Dual Channel mode
- I have installed the Uber BIOS 1008 (the lastest one for this board)
After I flashed the new Uber BIOS things became better. At...
Here are some pics. My case is a Solid Tunning Ivory made by Casemall and it's lightly modded. More mods will be done as soon as I have some time to work on this thing.
And here's my home office:
If you have some suggestions about how to improve my case...
Well, I could. But the position of Firewire connectors in this motherboard doesn't help much, as you can see on my pics. Actually, it was in the bottom slot before (take a look at my first post).
Last update:
This is the best I can do for now. It may not be as clean as some others I've seen here but it makes me feel satisfied. Thanks for all the feedback guys!
Ok, here it is:
I really liked the idea of hiding flat cables behind the HDD cage. I have also swapped the Firewire ports bracket and the "wire-window" bracket. Now I only need to get rid of these ugly power cables.
I have an A7N8X-E Deluxe in my setup and I can't get the FSB past 175 Mhz. At 200 MHz, it doesn't post (I have to clear the CMOS). At 180 MHz it posts but it doesn't boot.
Does anyone here can run stable at 200 MHz FSB?
