I'm in no major hurry to buy the card, BUT if the HIS versions prove to be fairly reliable , I'll get one, I see no reason to do a total system upgrade until the games I play go to DX10. Then i will do a total upgrade.:D

I have a Neo2 Platinum also, and it has been running fine for almost 2 years. Currently i have an X800XT-PE, wondering what you had previously, and what kind of improvement you have seen? I am seriously considering getting the HIS 512 mb version of the 1950Pro.

that's a pretty graphic intensive game eh? play smooth? ATM i have an X800XT-PE, and it plays all my racing games pretty well, but i wanna turn ALL the eye candy on, lol, hopefully the 1950 pro will let me do that

John, do you happen to play GTR 2 , GT Legends, or rFactor? you have a very similar system to mine, and i was wondering how this card performs in those games

go for the 9800 pro, the MSI RX9800 is pretty much guaranteed to have the R360 core so it's basically a 9800XT with less memory

i have an odd occurence, when i click my computer, all of a sudden, i now have three optical drives, one being a DVD Drive { which i know i do NOT have } Could installing Alcohol 120% cause this? thats the only thing i can come up with . Showing as a virtual drive?

Well, I'm happy to report that i did recieve an authentic 3200+ !!! installed today along with a gig of PDP DDR400, and all is well, 3DMark01SE went up close to 2,000 points, and 3DMark03 up close to 300 !!! all is well, lol

so some of the 3200+ athlons were green, and had a different look than others? whats confusing me here, is the one i bought looks exactly like the one at the beginning of this thread, same number on the side of the chip, 27493, does that make a difference?

Hmmmm, according to the label, it IS a 3200+ 400 mhz Athlon, i guess the only way to know for sure is to install it and see what the story is !!! Just seemed fishy because it looks EXACTLY like the one from this thread . If i could figure out how to upload a pic, i would show you the result, lol

i love my sandisk 256 mb cf card, i use it like a mini hard drive to transfer files between systems, and it works great !! plus on my 4 mega pixel Digi cam i've never had a problem saving pics
