I would have to guess that it is in Degrees.
33C (92F) is way to cool on stock, considering my X850XT PE get to 82C under full load (aka, Splinter Cell 3).
Good to see some results with the Silencer, Ive gotta get me one of those. Do the AS4 fit?
Look's like a very nice card, particually the fact that it uses less power and has a single slot cooler.
But the preformance gain over the flagship "last gen" cards (6800 ultra, X850xt pe) does not leave me needing to trade in for a 7800GTX. Good to see that Nvidia has solve the supply issue we...
Yes I have pluged in the ASUS "easy plug" into the psu, no change.
I can flash to a later bios because I cant see enough of the screen to navigate the current bios.
I contacted the retailer, they advised me to try it in another system to isolate either the vid card or mobo as the problem, I am...
It is garbeled on the startup screen, so much so that I cant install windows, the vid card is not using any drivers because they cant be loaded.
What is the deal with RMA-ing parts? I've never needed to do it before.
The only 4 pin connector on the card is yellow and I have no plug to fit it.
O.k. here is the deal
I have just plugged in me asus A8N sli deluxe with my x850xt pe, and apon boot it just garbles the display!
You can still see what is on the screen, but there are colored, flashing squares and different characters.
I have plugged the pci-e power plug in and every other...
O.k this is the thing I not getting, what is the deal with the pci bus being locked or unlocked?
Noobi question I know, but everyone needs to learn sometime.
Before I posted this I read all previous posts.
So let me get this strait, no A8N-Sli board will recognize HD's with NCQ unless you are using bios 1002, in witch case you can not overclock past 210mhz FSB (including on "final" 1003 bios) correct?
What problems are there with bios 1002 apart...
Ati is planning to have the own version on "sli" on an up and coming via chipset due later this year (probably wont support sli using the current cards though).
That is true.
The reason I got the sli deluxe modle is because it was the only one available at the time. It is the same as the non sli deluxe just with a second pci-e 16x slot.
Firstly Laforge
You fill find that I will not be asking 20 "noobi" questions, I just asked about were to find the drivers because I did not see the Drivers & Software link on the Ati site (and sorry for the inconvenience it has caused you to post a direct link).
If I do happen to ask a...
Im speaking in aus$, and yes that is very expencive, but so is the Geil Ultra X ram i bought with it for $436au but there is not alot of choices when buying high end parts in Australia so I take what I can get.
In australia vidio cards are very expensive.
You cant get an Asus x800xt for less than $1100.
So $1000 for a x850xt pe (brand new peice of hardware) is quite a good price.
I only upgrade me computer about once every 2 years, and even then its usually only a new cup and mobo. So when I do buy...

Im in Australia and I orded me Ati x850xtpe last night for $1006.5au so thats about $760us.
Not a bad price if you ask me, for the fastest gpu on the market. :D
Will a X850xt pe work with a Asus an8 sil deluxe?
Will I have problems?
What about MSI K8N platnium?
What is needed to install an OEM vid card, is it hard, I dont have very much exp?
Need replys ASAP
Thankyou
Go with a64, better performance for the money but do not get 754pin! , get 939pin otherwise if you want to upgrade processors in the future you will have to buy a new mobo.
What one is better for media production: they are about the same really, but if your doing allot of multi tasking, a p4...
Cpu: 939pin 3200+ 90nm Winchester core(best value for money, 64bit future proof, overclocks to 3800+ speeds on stock!)
Mobo: Asus an8 product line (not to expensive, easy to find, will run your existing ddr ram, some models do support sli)
Gpu: good luck trying to find a x850, 6800u, 6800gt on...
Agp cards are not that difficult to get at good prices, it is the pci-e cards that are a b*t*h to find.
People wanting high end pci-e cards *in-stock* this is were to find them.
Zipzoomfly.com has most high end gpu's available for around $100-$200 more than any where else.
Gameve.com has a...
Or someone else will argue that heatspreaders act as a blanket over the memory chips therefore raising the temps  .
But who cares, memory modules dont realy need heat "spreaders", decent case ventilation does enough.
Great news.
I was worryed that I may have to buy a new mobo when the dual cores come out.
Now all I need to do is start saving, no doubt these dual core prossesors will cost an arm and my left nut. :D
This is ridiculous. 1 month until chumbo restocks with 6800gt's  and they are BFG's official retailer.
One of the Asus X800xt pci-e's is starting to look better and better, at least they can be found in stock, even if it is for $599!
You want to see price gouging, get this.
From ZipZoomFly
Asus X800Xt pci-e for the low price of $899 (stocks are limited)
or
BFG 6800Gt pci-e for $699
or
BFG 6800 Ultra agp8x for $799
or
e-VGA 6800 ultra pci-e for $899
and thats just some of the great bargins you will wind at zip zoom...
The way its looking from ati and nvidia, US the consumer are only ever going to see the current high end products (namly the 6800 ultra and X800Xt pe) when the next line of tech comes out.
How do I insert an Image?
When it comes to power suplys, my knowledge is little to non-existant.
For my up and comming rig I wolud like to know approx what capacity psu I will need.
a64 3500+ (90nm)
Asus an8 or a8n (cant remenber but you all know the one) sli deluxe
2x 6800gt
2x 36gb WD Raptors
OCZ pc3200...
