I did check that site ( along every philips related site I could find ) with no luck ( also, I don't think I'd find datasheets for LCDs in the semi conductors branch ;)
and me saying "Philips tech support didn't give a shit" is based on the 3 months of waiting for an answer to my emails (...
Since Phillips tech support didn't give a shit about my request for help, I tried using the LTE072T-50 datasheets to guess pinouts, and successfully wired the LCD to my 9800 Pro TV-Out. Both LCDs are pin compatible, thus making it easier ( only needed to guess a few wires from the connector...
Just my 2 cents about that case, I wouldn't waste my time on it, since it's rather ... flimsy, as told before ... hard to work on without warping pannels & stull like that ...
but, if you really want to do it ^^;
In a somewhat kamikaze manner, I tried to power one of the LCDs up ... I was lucky ( and cable color codes for ground and +12V seem to follow logic ) and the display lit itself up ... 8 wires to go
I now have to figure out the following cables :
blue - green - grey - white - purple -...
I just scavenged a couple of 7" 16/9 LCD displays from a mobile DVD systems installed on a Ford Galaxy, and I've looked everywhere on the net for datasheets so I could hook them up on a computer ( either through TV out or VGA with/without VGA -> composite adapter ) with no luck...
Has any of...
It's a mountain mods case, if you wanna know.
I once purchased an Aluminum Mobo tray, and am very happy with it. They are truly professionnal, I can only recommend them :)
edit : link
Nice mod - even though it's a shame it's not a Mac anymore, there's a certain charm about G4 cubes I can't explain ^^;
Also, I've been looking @ G4 cubes too, and prices are outrageous ( like, 600$ for an old 400MHz, 1000-1500$ for an upgraded one :/ )
get DDR400, it's not much different in price compared to DDR333 or DDR266, and will work fine.
If your mobo only supports FSB533 cpus, get one of these ( P4B ) and not a P4C, otherwise the CPU will run at a much lower speed than spec'd, thus ruining the point of having it.
Painting is put on hold till weather improves ( crappy rain + frequent near 0°C temps make it a bad time to do some serious painting ... not to mention 70% min humidity )
meanwhile, I think I'll get working on my Tachikoma mod, and maybe see if my Alphaserver 4100 works or not, in which case...
it's funny to see what "constructive criticism" means to some ppl here ( which obviously sounds close " say it's good or that you like it otherwise don't post "
I myself don't like that, it fits in my "tasteless stuff", but I guess most of you guys would rather have " constructive criticism " :D
I think it's an etching, and not a sticker ..
also, I might have sounded sarcastic, but you were asking for estimates, right ? that's what we gave you, and they differ depending one's tastes - as for myself, I don't hate blue leds & ccfls, I just don't like "riced" cases, which doesn't really...
I don't want to sound mean, but mods are pretty personal ( especially yours ) and 'cept for canadians that like near stock cases with blue lights all over the place, you'll never get more than 70$ .. and I'm quite generous :P
looks nice, even though I would bondo' up some more to make a smoother transition ( slope instead of right angle drop on the back parts of the extensions )
I tried out sketchup, supposedly a simple tool, but it's way too limited and innacurate to be effectively used ...
surprizingly, Bit-tech forum users like it, some some dark reasons I guess
On Nokytech forum - french - they prefer Solidworks - better in terms of precision/industry...
BTX is like a dead end design, partly because of the heat management shortcomings, and alse due to its lack of agreement between parties ( AMD clearly stated that this design was majorly incompatible with their A64 platform designs, because of the increased distance between CPU & memory sockets...
That's a shame ... note, I've heard about a DFI mini ITX Pentium-M board, which would be a killer setup for your Udat ... but the price tag would also belong to another realm ...
edit : here's a pic :
there's a review of that motherboard ...
oh, about that 1U PSU, I'd rather suggest you to think about getting a Shuttle compatible PSU instead. they are more or less the same size factor, only shorter, I got one on my firewall ( a P3 800 inside a SparcStation IPX lunchbox case ) it's really great :)
Yeah !! But I've been delaying this project for too long, and since I can get most materials for free, and I got a MIG recently, I see no reason I shouldn't do it :D
Little suggestion : if you can, go for a sunk vinyl sheet for the panel designs, that's what I'm planning to do on my case :
Sand, primer, sand, primer, sand, paint, paint, sand, apply 1st coating , sand, apply 2d coating layer & insert vinyl print on the panel while still liquid - must be...
