Some people are saying that they had FPS in the 20-30 range with a Geforce 780 in this game. So I'm not surprised that nVidia released a driver to improve on that.
I came back to this comments section because I knew it was inevitable someone freaked out about the scope of its ambition would use it as an opportunity to whine about Star Citizen when it is far too early to give a verdict on that game.
I was not mistaken.
Programmer adage: "Nine pregnant women cannot make a baby in one month."
What, you thought that just because they have been able to raise this much money this fast that the code magically polishes itself and reaches a finished state?
It's not like they aren't trying... last I heard there are...

Watch Part 1 and 2, and you'll see the difference between what Bush said in public and what was really going on.
In case anyone tries, I have zero interest in making this an Obama vs Bush issue. I am not happy with either...
You're mistaken. As early as 2002 people were sounding the alarm that ALL traffic was being monitored, including inside the U.S and on all U.S. citizens. It later became clear that despite the repeated insistence from Bush's own mouth that monitoring was ONLY on foreign terrorists, monitoring...
If someone serves you a gourmet meal but there is a turd [EA] on top of it, do you attempt to remove the turd and try to eat what you hope wasn't touched by the turd or do you throw it all out altogether?

DirectX 12 in Windows 8.1 to get people to upgrade?
*guffaws*
You underestimate Microsoft. They need to force the Windows 8 people to upgrade again, so...
Windows 9 exclusive!
What was?
Because spending all that money and effort to build a space station only to plunge it into the ocean in 2016 was looking to be a huge waste.
At least with the extension we can make the most out of this station.
The Law of Bose:
If you spend the money you would've spent on Bose systems on actual audiophile equipment of the same cost, it would surpass Bose quality every time.
The only value to Bose is if you really didn't want to deal with wires or technicians.
At first I thought Asus was releasing too many motherboards, but I guess they're trying to meet the varied demands of the customer base.
These following motherboards have PCI slots in other locations, they're more inexpensive, for example having 4 phase CPU power instead of 8. 5.1 audio...
The one thing I liked about it was that they are in a location that always gets invalidated if your video card takes up two slots... and you use them both up if using SLI.
As mentioned in the review by the Editors Note, someone needing the PCI slots would most likely not have video cards...
Sometimes you need a bit of perspective...
Anyone want to spend the rest of their lives in a Biosphere in the middle of a desert on Earth? You try to survive on what you can find in the desert to survive on, and what you can grow for yourself.
Oh, and barely any internet. Very long lag...
Some games are more CPU intensive than others, so that is what makes me want to upgrade my i3, to at least a quad core this time as more cores are being used.
I tried using an older computer as a PVR and for watching Netflix, but Silverlight on Netflix sucks so much it can't handle motion...

"Well, at least until it goes back up I can play a single player game on my XB--- wait. No. I CAN'T! IT WONT LET ME! WHY DID I EVEN BUY THIS THING!!!!"
[this is why I will NOT be buying this]
I already had checked the logs... there was one time months ago I had tried to push my overclock a bit further and thought was stable but a work unit crash showed me I was wrong. It was still in there, the only work unit crash log.
When I tried to check the SMP log, it was already working on...
Excuse me?
No indication in the logs?
I start up the program and my CPU progress is at 95% because it was a beefy one that takes quite a while to complete, so it had worked on it for like 2 to 3 days. It should have gone on to 100% and completed.
So why did it go to 0% with zero...
You want just enough memory so that your harddrive does not have to compensate for your lack of memory using virtual memory. That is what brings most old computers to a standstill, the harddrive light being on and windows being completely frozen until it can finish loading.
You can go with...
Lots of harddrives die without it being the users fault. I worked tech support and the only difference between harddrive companies seemed to be that some had harddrives fail more often than the other, but they all always had drives that failed.
Lots of times the harddrive gives a lot of...
Yeah, your hard drive was the most likely culprit and clicks like these aren't good (usually).

I'd use OCCT (or the new MSI Afterburner if you're using that, it allows to be run with various cards) where it has the fuzzy object rotating as a video stress test. Do you see the problem occurring there?
If you do, study your harddrive light and see if there is any synchronization between...
Supposedly the Black Edition has better binning [therefore better chance at a higher OC]. But this is not a given.
If you can afford it get the BE, but if bang for the buck is important the Double D is the way to go.
When I reviewed XFX I had lots of concerns about the negative reviews, so...
Any difference with vsync off? I don't expect there to be a difference if you test this as what I'm thinking of is a microstutter not a 1/4 second stutter but you never know.
Hardware-wise and especially if you are gonna have a resolution higher than 1920x1080/1200, you want the 7950.
If you want the least amount of driver headaches and are at 1920x1080 the Ti is great. The real reason I bought my 660 Ti is nVidias drivers having the edge over AMD.
When I was...
PhysX uses the CUDA cores on an nVidia card to do its work.
So, if none of its cores are doing any work for the graphics [where the AMD card is doing that], I imagine it has more resources for PhysX processing, so an old card with a decent number of cores should be very useful.
I have BL2 with a 660Ti.
The missing flags won't change the game for you. They're cool, but not essential.
The explosions (as indicated by screenshots in this article) are indeed beautiful. When it comes to multiplayer with 4 players and a lot of mayhem going on, you're gonna want...
After reviewing my choices as to what to buy....
Conclusion: 7950 a better buy for hardware reasons
HOWEVER: Seeing the bitching about ATI drivers by those who purchased the card killed any motivation on my part to get the 7950. I have suffered plenty under ATI drivers and I'm not...
Ah, the sequel to Battlestations:Midway!
Its a mix of RTS control with the ability to jump in and control the units you send out... although if you fly a plane for example this is no IL2 Sturmovik realism, its simple arcade flight/fight. You set the behavior for your ships, do damage control...
INDEPENDENCE WAR!!!
For all you Freespace sim lovers, this game was very close. Awesome cutscenes and environments.

I miss playing Xwing vs Tie...
I looked up at a reseller site the pictures for your video card and clearly it is too small to keep the card running at a much cooler temperature. There is not much you can do to improve on those single slot heatsinks, they just do not have the capacity and surface area to handle the heat at a...
I want to sue the Borings for $500,000 for "mental suffering" caused by the mindblowing inaneness of claiming it hurt their home value.
WOOHOO! HIT THE JACKPOT!
I guess your intel chipset doesnt have hardware Transformation and Lighting, which is what TnL is. You'll have to find a video card or buy one.. I think the nVidia GF3 and every card after that has it?
Well, I saw this on an Athlon XP, same kind of Socket A as you see in the photo. I worked for a reseller that sold them, and the Vapochill was sent to us to fix what was going on. Removed the CPU and corrorded green pins were falling off.. so that was obviously the reason why it wasnt working...
I've seen that plenty of times.. If you are using a Vapochill or phase change, filling all the holes with that white (non electrically conductive) thermal grease prevents condensation from corroding all the pins.
I've already seen the result when a Vapochill was used on an Athlon XP without...
Well, I thought NFSU 1 sucked, because the game cheats.

Get HL2 from Newegg, they are selling an "import" version which is exactly the same as any other HL2 out there. I got the box and there was nothing weird or missing in it, as the reviews indicated.
