I guess it's for me.
I don't care for Nintendo overmuch; out of all of their releases I've owned 4 pieces of their hardware (GameBoy, Super Nintendo in college, Wii which I resold w/in 2 weeks, and the DS which I still enjoy). I read most of the articles leading up to the release with another...
@bottomsup
I'm running gsynch and it's a relatively smooth experience. Here are my settings:
Monitor @ 144hz. Make sure that both the monitor via it's on-board controls and the Nvidia control panel are set to 144hz in both the "Change Resolution" page and "manage 3D Settings" under global...
It's pretty easy to delete GWXUX (the nagware). It was driving me crazy as well.
Summary of steps:
- take complete ownership of the GWXUX directory in System 32
- delete!

Enjoy the back-to-normal running of your OS.
This is awesome. Have you happened to come across any info specific to GSynch?
I also don't get the hate on this game. It is exceptionally fun and I rather like the art style. It's a huge step forward from 3 and NV IMO.
Quick answer is they're now complete shit beyond mid-range. Pre-shit/spring-patch a skilled user could counter the recoil and make them work at somewhat longer ranges.
That is over.
The grip nerf is real; what they have done is increase the spread reset time between bursts. The change primarily effects high ROF weapons and the LMGs where tap tap tapping was an effective way to counter high levels of recoil.
It's a mishmash of the weirdest "balances" that ultimately make the average TTK even longer.
Baffling.
And the SRAW nerf? Seriously, given all the other problems with this game they are now forcing inf into using lockon weapons against air. :/
@KickAssCop I was stumped by this as well. There is an "Apply Setting" bar at the top of the advanced menu that you have to select. Odd UI choice for sure.
@bigbluefe I'm on month 5 with mine was well. Zero issues and I love love love it.
Don't understand who you could have pissed off to get 3 bad copies in a row.....maybe it's a config issue on your side?
Like elvn said, high FPS and G-Synch just about eliminates motion blur.
I guess I should have been more literal. 144 frames per second at 144hz leads to all but imperceptible blur in FPS games. I guess it's a good thing you're not trying to read while going for the head shot.
Exactly this! Hotwire is so multi-faceted: you can troll the other team or go for the objective and both help your team massively.
Re: the donut guy, stat padding will be a problem on every progression style game so why let that put you off? If I had been on that server I would've hunted...
I am loving this game. Haven't really played anything but Hotwire (amazing) outside of a bit of conquest and can't recommend it highly enough.
Good news on the player count front: today BF Stats is listing 20K players - word of mouth is looking good on this game,
Supposedly a big improvement in netcode with today's patch, esp when ADS with a new high-freq cone covering your FOV. This is great news for sniping as well.
I was dead wrong about the SRAW and other gun "fixes." Looks like none of them were added and the UCAV is untouched (yay)!
Pastebin link...
Salty.
The AH can now do loops and that's just the start. Ascend/descend rate is also far higher. Nerf the SRAW (best skill based helo counter) and buff AH maneuverability and we're back at BF:Vs flying tanks.
Looks like a big patch tomorrow. No patch notes yet but this one should include lots more HUD/reticle customization options, the stupid SRAW nerf, AEK and ACE23 buffs, and a massive helo buff that makes the attack choppa just like a little bird.
