I bought a Zalman Performa for my 755 mobo last year. I want to upgrade to Sandy Bridge (LGA1155 socket). Will my Zalman fit on a Sandy Bridge motherboard without modification?
It says it can fit the first gen i7 motherboards, but it doesn't say anything about 1155 socket as I bought it well...
I have a fairly fast machine, Intel Q9450, 4GB ram, 9600GT, but I went with a 22" as I don't want to push my machine too hard when the latest games come out. I also like bigger pixels as I don't sit so close to the monitor.
L227WT-PF is a great choice. I picked it up for £165 a few months ago...
I have a L227WT-PF. I didn't notice any backlight bleed when I first got it and still can't see much really unless the lights are off and the room is pitch black, even then you have to LOOK for it. I thought maybe I'm just not a fussy person. Then I went to my friends who owns a 19" HP and I saw...
I had a 17" LG LCD which had a BIG difference between VGA and DVI. DVI had less ghosting and a crystal clear picture.
I now have a L227WT which came with both DVI and VGA cables. Needless to say, I didn't bother with the VGA cause I knew DVI would be much better.
When I first got my...
I got this monitor for £165, it used to be £226. Beautiful colours, I can't see any back light bleed, no dead pixels and everything looks beautiful and sharp. I came from a 17" LG LCD and this thing displays colours waaay better.
Very happy!
I have a wireless network with 3 laptops and one printer connected to a 4 port wireless rooter. All 3 laptops are connecting without wires. I would like to extend the wireless network so two more wireless laptops can connect to the network without wires. Should I buy a new rooter with more...
I've got an ASUS P5Q-Deluxe with a Q9450. Haven't had any problems with it. It's very stable, but I don't overclock.
The more expensive boards are normally the best overclockers, so get a Maximus 2 Formula if you wanna do some serious overclocking.
I'm in the same position too, I've been eyeing up an LG L227WT 22", but it seems to have a lot of mixed reviews and none of them really stand out, they all seem to have problems.
I'm still on a 2002 system, Pentium 4 2.8GHz, 160GB HDD, 1GB ram, Asus P4B mobo, GeForce 6600 etc
I just ordered the parts for a new system (Q9450, P5Q Dulx, 4GB DDR 800Hz, GeForce9 etc) as I don't want the first generation Nehalem! First generation computer stuff normally has problems that...
Hi,
I'm gonna build a new PC soon and I would like to know your opinion on my choice of parts. Does anyone have any experience of using a Q9450 on a Gigabyte EX38 DS5? Will it boot without needing to flash the BIOS? I read some people had problems with other boards that wouldn't even post...
Don't listen to this guy, he hasn't got a clue what he's talking about. He probably tried an LCD 10 years ago and thinks they use the same tech today...
Is this laptop good value for money? I'm thinking of buying it...

Firingsquad said that the BFG 6600GT had one of the noisest fans out of all the 6600GT's. Leadtek is rated medium in that review, but in many other...
I suspect a few of the posters here defending BFG are BFG employees, LOL !
The £40-60 extra for a BFG card isnt justified crap UK technical support, noiser fan than a normal 6600GT (MSI, Leadtek, Asus etc are meant to be quieter). BFG's aren't built like Rolls Royces either as I first...
I was considering a BFG 6600GT OC, but after reading this thread I just ordered a Leadtek A6600GT from overclock.co.uk
£40 cheaper than the BFG and it is meant to have a quieter fan !
Thanks for replying !
I have a Suntek case and power supply. They came together as one unit. Is Suntek any good? I paid quite a bit of money for it back in 2002... £65 or something and there were other cases for £20 with PSU's...

Hi,
What's the minimum PSU for the non-GT GeForce? If its more than 300W, then what's the best card available for a 300W PSU?
My system specs are:
P4 2.0 Northwood
Asus P4B533 with on board sound
768 RAM @ 266Hz DDR
160 Seagate HDD 8mb cache
GeForce Ti 4200 128mb <--- wanna change...
I have an R50e IBM laptop and I wanna upgrade the memory. I can upgrade the memory of a desktop PC no problem, but I've never done it with a laptop... can anyone give me some guide lines on how to do it and if it's as easy as doing it to a big PC? I have no idea at all or where to start !
I...
The dead pixel is back !! :-(
It goes after ten minutes though. I've tried pushing the middle button, but it didn't help either. Anyway, I just noticed today that the Hard Drive has lost some GB's. This machine is turning into a right piece of shit.
It's meant to have 40GB's and at first...
I bought a brand new IBM laptop and after opening up the box, I noticed it had a dead pixel right in the centre of the screen. I phoned IBM to try and get the laptop replaced, but they said they would not replace a laptop with a single dead pixel, it needed to have 6 or more dead pixels...

Does anyone have these speakers? Are they any good? I just wanna listen to music and play a few games. I've got Creative 4.1 Cambridge Soundworks which i got back in 1999 and I don't like all the wires it has so I...
My friend bought a L1710B monitor recently and that was when I thought, WOW, TFT screens are much better than CRT's.
I saw him the otherday and took another look at his monitor. For colouring and build quality, I would say the L1730B is a lot better. The colouring looks more vivid and...
Well I play UT99 at 800x600 cause it runs the best in that res for me. Everything looks so much more clearer than my old CRT. There is a big difference between digital and analogue though. Whatever monitor you choose to buy, make sure it has a DVI input !
I've also noticed that my aim...
I have the monitor now and I'm very happy with it. No dead pixels etc. There is slight blurring when I play UT99 next to my last CRT monitor, but this is the case for all monitors at the moment. I had the chance of buying a Samsung 172X, but chose this because the picture quality just seemed...
This forum seems to be full of Samsung lovers... anyone have an LG L1730B out there? Tell me what you think of it... I've just ordered one, but there is still time to cancel ;-)...
