Steve posts Apple screed, circle jerk ensues.
It actually was a pop-up Apple store. The fact that SXSW is going on and workers were hauling a giant Apple logo into the building made it pretty obvious. I wouldn't wait in line outside even an actual Apple store, but that doesn't mean I'm going...
When I bought my MBP, the cheapest place I found was Amazon and that was only because they didn't charge a sales tax in my state. I could get an educational discount buying direct from Apple, but they charged taxes so it actually turned out to be more expensive.
I inherited an iPhone 3G (which uses the same internals as the 8gb touch) and OS 4.0 was horrible on it. A lot of people experienced slow downs and stuff. I wouldn't recommend it. But you could always try it and revert back if you don't like it.
Huh, I didn't think AT&T would discriminate between a data plan on the iPhone vs. E71x. The one on the E71x is a smartphone unlimited data plan. I guess if I wanted data on this iPhone I'd have to call them and make another contract, but I don't think I want to get locked into a 2 year contract...
I just got an iPhone 3G for free as a hand-me-down and I'm already on an AT&T family plan with a Nokia E71x that has a data plan attached. Will AT&T bust my door down if I move the sim card to the iPhone? It seems to work, it has a 3G signal, just wondering what the consequences are.

Anyone have suggestions on flattening out an XT? Mine is bowing upwards. I've seen the picture on the maintenance page but no matter what I do I can't get it flat again or I just make it worse.
So I have this Seagate 320gb 7200.2 HDD I bought in 2007:

I'm thinking about upgrading to Samsung's F3 1tb...
You people are just as narcissistic as some of the Facebook users you complain about. I've seen the same opinion posted a hundred times and every one of you think yours is valuable. Some of you even have a sense of arrogance from not using Facebook that is just as annoying but on the other end...
I just got a Nokia E71x. My college campus uses a landing page to input our login usernames/passwords. On a laptop, when you open your browser you are directed to this page. However, on my phone, I am not directed to this page so I can't login. Anyone know what I can do about this?
In my case, I'm a full-time student so I don't have enough money to pay for a data plan but I still want one device that acts as a phone/PDA. Since I'm on campus a lot, I can just use the free Wi-Fi.
RailWorks does include an editor so you can design your own railroads and such. There are also scenarios/missions to play that do require some skill and knowledge. Driving a train can be a challenge, and therein may lie the satisfaction in playing this.
It doesn't use the MSFS engine, it is a proprietary engine made by Eagle Dynamics.
It is quite simply the best helicopter simulator I've ever used. The attention to detail and subsequent immersion is pretty stunning. And keep in mind this is just the beginning... an A-10 is in development...
Hate to burst your bubble but it will get canceled. Someone will notice before Monday and the "error" will be corrected. And from the looks of things, you might get stuck with a crappy motherboard that you'll have to pay a restocking fee to return.
