I think you're going to be disappointed in any single card's ability to play modern games at 4k or UW 1440p at high settings. Even an overclocked 980ti is going to struggle to keep 60fps in a lot of modern games at those resolutions.
Depends on the sound you want. Older JBL's have a specific sound profile, which isn't really flat. I haven't heard these monitors to know if they don't color the sound too much.
Chane bought out Arx which use split gap XBL tech (JBL) midrange drivers...
I submitted a bug report. I get this too. It feels driver/clock related because the card is super stable otherwise. There are no crashes or anything with it - in fact this machine in general has been the most stable I can recall using.
The problem as occurs is described here...
Has anyone determined if the engine can handle more than 4gb of ram usage before it implodes? Modded skyrim used to hit that wall and just die. If this still can't, it will be extremely disappointing.
I'm bummed out that it's a bugfest again. I wish they'd just release a solid engine and base game that doesn't shit itself nonstop and then slowly add content. A stable modding base would be so much nicer.
I guess the numbers aren't there to do that because consoles.
I remember how solid...
Almost no point upgrading from OC'd Sandy.
Every time I read reviews of skylake that "What a piece of junk" quote from Star Wars comes to mind when they first see the Millenium Falcon.
It's just depressing how little innovation Intel has done in the past 8? years now. We have what, onboard...
This is going to be horrible for people's necks. You already develop forward head posture in a chair, with this thing you're in forward head posture city.
Between this and the crossfit craze, you come out looking like a genius if you got your doctorate in Physical Therapy.
I pay for a cable subscription. I'm just too lazy to DVR shit so I have it download shows I'm watching automatically.
not really wrong. don't care who says it is. not going to shame me into anything, but that's cool that you're calling everyone an asshole with your whole universal morality...
No wonder people are so soulless and miserable.
I like working hard and doing a good job but once I go over 50 hours and consistently sit there week after week it is objectively making me a worse person. Spending that much time on IT things means there's less time with family, less time to...
You basically need to save up for something like a CaseLabs case. Your needs are too fringe for mass market cases to perform well and fit all the criteria you need.
Any level controller will work, you can use the kind designed for car audio without issue. Spending more just gets you something prettier.
I have an SM Nano Patch Plus.
I had 3 modems fail with comcast and @home who they absorbed.
The first was a 3com that would need to be reset and cool down after downloading or uploading a significant amount of data. The second was a motorola surfboard modem that kept restarting itself. The last was a motorola modem that...
Putting a soundcard inside your case is a recipe for noise unless you get one of those fat shielded jobs. Onboard or external DAC or soundcard via USB/optical. I think at this point internal add-on soundcards are mostly an anachronism.
I've been modding shit since DOOM. Mods have worse quality control than the first Korean cars did.
I can't even imagine how much of a catastrophe this is going to be - stolen content sold, copyright content sold, mods getting yanked from everywhere due to fear that they'll be sold or will be...
Starswarm is a single engine test made by Stardock meant to show how DX12 improves batch submission of API calls. It has almost no relevance to expectations of general performance in next generation DX12 games with enthusiast-level graphics.
There is no reliable evidence of what directx 12...
It is a different controller and different nand. I'm not sure what you're not understanding. A somewhat similar problem might eventually occur - it's physically unlikely but it could. By its nature since these are different parts it would be a different problem.
16nm planar nand != XXnm 3d...
Different controller and different NAND. It's like oil consumption with certain engines of cars - you're extrapolating the qualities of one engine due to the behavior of another by the same brand. It doesn't work that way.
Maybe you think Samsung will mess this up too, but it's not likely...
It's not unknown at all. Did you bother checking or are you just handing out random negative advice to people? The newer drives use vertical NAND and are not impacted by the problem that plagues the 840 EVO drives.
Because if you're in a recliner for hours on end each day you may end up with degenerative disk disease?
Desk chairs, while still /bad/ for you at least make some effort to keep your lumbar spine aligned. Being reclined puts a ton of pressure on the disks in the lumbosacral region of your...
Do you guys just come on here to rage out? Wired has a different opinion, big deal. The game's success isn't predicated on you writing an essay on the hardforums making weird analogies to blind dates or how reliable Chris Roberts is. The stuff they've shown so far looks interesting and...
I have an MX518 relegated to server duty. I like the g5 laser better. My favorite mouse shape was the huge gray original MS intellimouse explorer optical.
I think they'll get the X86 license if they purchase. They'll find a way to structure the deal around that. Or they'll take it to court and make the acquisition contingent on the outcome - and they'll probably win. As soon as Intel threatened to expire AMD's license in 2009 the FTC went 3...
Gsync is probably DOA. There's no way it lasts more than a couple GPU generations.
This is a marketing farce so people actually buy the existing monitor stock and their partners don't get completely pissed off. Proprietary GPU crap just isn't going to cut it anymore. All manufacturers need...
The reason US stocks are "overvalued" right now is due to foreign investment. European productivity and growth has been crushed by austerity measures, China has too much uncertainty regarding regulations and investment, and countries are starting to put a stop to foreign land investment so...
those episode 1 graphics look not so good.
Does Stardock games even make graphics-intensive or photoreal type games? The Galciv series has always looked about a decade or more out of date.
I'm not sure I trust this guy's opinion.
I've not had a samsung drive fail. I'm still running Samsung 2tbs in my file server.
I bought a toshiba 3tb recently. Seagate scares me a lot based on all the reliability reports I've read and the ratings on consumer sites.
6800 GT, 7800 GTX, 8800 GTS
The miserable performance from the 7800 GTX and 8800 GTS led me to jump ship to ATI. I was pretty pissed off that I couldn't run 4xAA in modern games with those so they didn't last long.
And then I figured I'd use the 8800 GTS in my work computer but it was useless...
I ran into an issue with this a while ago and it ended up being a combination of the video card and the monitor. Have you tried another display or connector?
No you misunderstood or I worded poorly. My point was that local government is never going to get involved in the creation of consumer goods. They're not going to make Soviet cars or anything. They're just going to attempt to provide essential services.
You're overreacting and making...
