I know it's a common issue with the Intel 750 to not boot from a cold state but I was wondering if the SM951 does?
I preordered the 950 pro to replace my Intel 750 that doesn't boot from a cold state, but if the SM951 doesn't then I might as well cancel the preorder.
Thanks in advance.
I get the exact same thing on chrome as I do Internet explorer (all cache wiped out and history removed and cookies removed) which isn't "amazing"
same thing in incognito mode...
why don't i get texture stremaing/pop-in issues on my gtx 570? Could an SSD be causing it (i got one). This game runs as smooth as any other game, i just don't see the issue you guys are talking about.
If it wasn't for ID, most of us wouldn't know what a config file is and how to tweak it/why to tweak it, at least in regards to gaming. So now, the company that introduced us to this is now the company we are despising for making us do it with Rage. Sheesh!
I wish I knew which situation you are talking about. I own the game and am having a blast playing it. It runs great on my gtx 570 without screen tearing (turned on vertical sync) and without texture popup. Amazes me people are flipping out about this game and its lower textures. The freaking...
The M17X is not a rebranded sager/clevo... and they are now owned by Dell which makes them not a boutique brand any more :| Also, their price is fairly resonable now (except when compared to the G73, it rocks everything in price/performance ratio)
Oh and the M17x uses an aluminum cassing...
Why not upgrade to the red camp or at least wait till fermi is out. Doesn't seem smart to sell your two cards and upgrade to another card that's not much better. I have two gtx 280's in SLI and I am getting the upgrade bug as well.. but realistically where do you go if you don't want ATI? No...
When I had 3gb of memory my team fortress 2 would hit a minimum of 2fps (never saw it, but it showed it in the cl_showfps 2 log). But my SLI gtx 280's were still averaging roughly 120fps. Then I moved to 9gb of memory and the same log shows about 24 as my low. Again, I never actually notice any...
No doubt the 5970 is faster than a gtx 280 sli setup in most situations.... but it also doesn't change the playable game settings in most situations. Running 2560x1600 at 45 fps or 40 fps doesn't change the game a ton.
Get a gtx 280, I am running an SLI setup and my PC has handled everything...
I had instability issues with my gtx 280 SLI setup but adjusting the fan speed fixed the issue. For some reason default fan speeds let the card get just a little too hot and it locks.
Same thing happens for me. The first monitor is always running full speed, second monitor drops down to 2d clocks. I think its an Nvidia drivers thing.
Mine is the quietest hard drive i have ever had. Thats coming from old 5400 rpm's and a 36 raptor and 74 raptor. I would recommend it and I don't hear any whine.
How much Ram do you use? I am thinking the reason mine is super fast at loading is cause i play the game alot and windows has cached my memory so it can load faster. Just a thought.
I went two gtx 280's on that resolution. My two gtx 280's are an overkill for most games but facry2 and crysis it was necessary to have alot of graphics power. Plus i dont plan on upgrading for a while so in a few years I want my PC to still be playing games well. So I would say, if you want a...
Lets put it this way, apps that are optizimed for virtual multiprocessing will see a significant increase in performance (noticable) while the gains of a hundred or two hundred mhz from turning off HT will be very insignificant and won't be that noticable.
But at the end of the day, it's your...
Lol, I have the same cpu, same volts, and same cooler and i don't idle at 40c and my temps are in the high 70's low 80's if i prime for too long. I think you are smoking. What cpu speed are you running?
Thats the problem with a poll like this. If crysis is your MUST then YES even 1440x900 could use multiple gpu's. I am running two gtx 280's at 1680x1050 and i can barely max everythign while staying around 30ish fps. If I went up to 1920x1200 I would be hosered.
But if all you play is...
Here is an idea of how fast the i7 is. I had a Q6600 oc'd to 3.33ghz and in 32bit Vista i used cinebench and rendered the motorcycle in 1 minute 11 seconds. In 64 bit windows 7 with a 4.0ghz and HT on (8 threads) it renders it in 37 seconds... almost twice as fast. It's seriously nuts, and as...
Lol if you don't own something you can't comment on it eh? Well there goes 99% of forum posts hahaha
Mr k6 have you ever owned a gtx 285? If not you can't say how much better your 295 is because you havent used it LOLOLOL.
At the end of the day both cards are great. My response as to which...
I think you made the right decision. Honestly, it's a joke how fast these i7's are. Cinebench renders are SO much faster. Super pi's, so much faster. And factor in your multi gpu setup, your pc is going to be hauling.
It's pretty easy to see looking at the guru3d one. When the GPU is no longer the bottleneck the core i7 shines. When the GPU is the bottleneck the E8500, Q6600 and core i7 are very very close in fps's.
If you want your multi gpu setup to reach its maximum potential the core i7 is the way to...
Why did u set sata to IDE? And have u thought about moving the second 280 to the third slot for better airflow? I just bought the same mobo with bfg 280's as well and those two questions are the only ones I can come up with.... For now :)
