Ok, so I'm able to get gigabit by running cat6 cable to the server. Is there any reason why the previous motherboard would supply gigabit via cat5e and this one will only give it using cat6?

I have a WHS box who’s cpu/mobo/ram is nearing 4 years old and I’m getting ready to update my workstation/htpc. Is it be possible for me to swap out the WHS components with the htpc components without WHS needing to be reinstalled or losing any data? Thanks

it'll eventually get here. I know slysoft, arcsoft, and powerdvd are all working on getting bitstreaming coded in but if all else fails you'll have the new intel chip in Q1 2010 that make your reciever light up.

powerdvd hasn't publically released the patch yet to allow for bitstreaming...hopefully in the next few weeks we'll see something.
