there is a program that can do somethign similar to what KVMs do, over a network. i actually use it at home, but im at work so i cant tell you what the name is off the top of my head. only problem is it doesnt do displays, so if you have a display that can do multiple inputs, this would be a...
really great piece, i like how its nto too cluttered with actual full on distractions, but rather has its point and conveys it, while still not making wasted space of the area above and behind the womans head ( i like the subtle shades and sumbols you cna pick out behind the brown. also i for...
that buzz is most likely your blown amp. I had them, they sound GREAT for the price. my amp blew, but they were the first generation EVER so, i would assume theyve at least gotten the number that blow down. overall great speaker system. topped only by a reciever and actual speakers/.woofer.
my suggestgion is the same as mentioned before, only more specifically to rip it losslessly then burn to CD then rip, so that your not losing quality, and then essentially encodin form an encode.
well if you have teh CD just rip them to mp3... you wont have to burn the files then rip them. this way you can encode them at a better or worse or whatever bitrate you like.

i currently am using my old klipsch sattellites as the rear and front center channels and they work fine. the subwoofer is not easy to hook up, as in, its a proprietary connector so you cant (at least on the version i have, i think they may have changed the klipsches since i got mine)
also...
like on the front of your case, sometimes there is a headphone jack, and a microphone jack, well this allows you to give these functionality. ive been lookign forward to this no-brianer feature for quite some time now, and am pissed that i didnt hear about this abotu 2 weeks ago when i got my...
good points. my only additional consideration, though, is that the x-mystique is cheaper than any of the x-fi series.
i hadnt heard about the performance hits with mystique, good to know,k though i dont seem to experience any (or experience a negligable one)
again, keep us informed,
Nat
i believe the extreme music in fact DOES NOT have optical or digital coax. you need one with a breakout box for that. the x music does have that mini digital thing goign on, but i dont know anythign about it so youll have to ask around.
personally, i bought the x-mystique and it sounds great. i...
thansk for the suggestions, im checking them out on headfi right now. on another note, i really have never liked earbuds or in ear phones, they really kind of throw my equilibrium off, and are very uncomfortable, i have this phobia (and its serisous to the point i call it a phobia) that they...
i have recently acquired some grado 325i's and have gotten bittne by the bug. now i want to get some nice closed phones to go along with my new grados and my old, but trusty SONY MDR-7506's. what are some reccommendations for closed phones (so i dont bother my roommate) at around a 300-400 price...
the MMM or M cubed is supposed to match up with grados wonderfully (im building one now) from my perusing headfi and hardforum i can say that Mister X's workmanship is supposed to be second to none, so you can rest assured that anything he builds you will be quite good. anyways, ask him about...
you cant be more than thirty years old, and yet you have the health problems of an 80 year-old.... the sad realities of life.
hehe. anyways, WE WANT TO SEE YOUR DESK!
i searched in google and howstuffworks.com to no avail. what is the difference between an amp and a preamp? also do you use the two simultaneously? or only one or the other? and also what is the benefit of a preamp?
thanks,
Nat
cool, thanks for all your help guys. Im really leaning towards building my own, since so many people seem to do so. i love building things, and i love even more USING things ive made myself... its so rewarding. the same budget as before, any suggestions which one i should build for best quality...
looks nice, though im not sure about tubes, i hear if they break they are a PAIN to replace (cost alot and are hard to find the specific ones). also im looking for something a little more sleek looking like a brushed aluminum look, never been a fan of colored lights emanating form my...
well right now i have some "decent" sony studio headphones, dont knw the exact model #, but they cost about 100 when i bought them 2 years ago. I plan on upgrading those in the near future (prolly be willing to drop roughly 350 on them, im thinking maybe Grado SR325i) im looking for an amp right...
LaRocco Audio Headpohone ampanyone used or heard one? how do they sound? im looking for PPA amp. previous spending limit was 150 but now am willing to spend up to $500, any suggestions on headphone amps fro around 500?

i dig my B&W 602s... they go for 600 pretty much anywhere. best thing is the nice flat sound they have so the reproduction of essentially anything you throw at them is superb. im not really an audiophile, and these are my first "real" speakers, but they kick it. only drawback is their...
is it goign to be good for music (which it would be used mainly for?) keep in mind that id rather drop a couple hundred more for the HSU MK-2 i was looking at to get good musical reproduction as well as boom in movies. but if this is all some of those reviewers were saying it was ill buy it...
so my computer is working fine, and then all of a sudden one day i it wont get past the windows boot up, it just freezes, then restarts. then shortly after that (maybe 5 restarts later) it starts saying i have no boot device installed, so i check the BIOS and it isnt recognizing 4 of my 6 SATA...
he does have a point... it does have an "X" and thus automatically makes it appeal to all the teenagers..... i mean, coem on, the "X-games" they are the most bodacious, rad, thrashing event of the year!:rolleyes:
i remembered seeing this thread a couple months ago, and have recently decided to build my own desk. thank you for your inspiration! i took the idea of being modular and using bolts to make it so (i will be taking it home from college). anyways... i wanna see yours finished!!!! also, what was...
