Man you're not kidding. I can't believe there's only like 600 people in the world playing BF1 online on the PC. There's just a handful of populated servers and then just a few with decent ping on the west coast. Total bummer. I still pray for the days of BF42 where there were like 100...
Yep tired of it already. BF42 was a blast. I still play it. SO much more variety - way more vehicles, artillery, planes, jeeps. BF1 is fun - just a grudge match with some shitty stuff like getting killed with the sword through rocks or trees, 10 shots doing nothing, etc. I love the graphics...
I just built a new rig using the reviews here and chose the Seasonic Prime 750w. Love it. Definitely the quietest PSU I've ever hard. The cables were nice and it came in a velvet bag and had a really nice metal case badge that I put on the front of my pc. Couldn't be happier and really...
Yeah ok I hear ya. Yep same here. Only from Amazon.
Just got my DELL S2417DG from Amazon. PERFECT. Not one dead or stuck pixel. 24" is the perfect size IMHO. After adjusting the color settings it looks really good.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU bastard! Just turned my new S2417DG on and was like "ahhhh lame". Pulled up this thread that I had saved while doing my research, adjusted the settings and am now like "ahhhhhh YEEEAAAHHH!!". I cant' believe the difference. I love this so much better than the...

It's been available for me forever. I've always wondered.. is the availability subject to your location? Must be?
Just bought the 2417DG this morning on Amazon for $470. It's been out of stock for awhile now. The 27" is back down to $550 but that's ok - worked out for the best I think. I really like the size of the 24" better. Web pages full screen on the 27" were just too wide, and the portrait mode...
Then again I was kinda set on the S2417DG after trying the 27" ASUS Rog because I found it a little big for non-gaming use, but since the 27" Dell was only $560 I figured I had to get that one. Reading the thread on the S2417DG and peoples comments on 24" being the ideal size has my flip...
Thanks J Macker. I'm pretty certain now that the S2716DG is the one I want. I had it in my Amazon cart last night for $560 and decided to sleep on it.... this morning it's $640. Sigh. 27" 1 ms Gsync for $560 seems like a really good deal.
But yeah my hope is the quality in general is better with Dell even for the non-Ultrasharps. The last few Asus non-motherboard products I've bought have all been low quality.
Yeah they have pretty much the same policy as Asus on pixels. At least you can return it within 30 days on Amazon. Buying from Dell not so much except the Ultrasharps like you said. Amazon pays the shipping back as well. I've never had a dead pixel show up later so I'm not so worried about that...
Funny my nephews nickname on Facebook is Citizen Snips. I was like... wait... no way.
I just returned the Asus Rog 27" IPS to Amazon. Had 4 stuck grey pixels dead center in the screen. Right. Next. To. My. Cross hair. Off to the side maybe... but right in the middle for $800 ain't...
I just built a new rig a couple of weeks ago based off your reviews here using MSI Z170A motherboard, Seasonic Prime PSU and this bad boy. Thanks a ton for the reviews! The MB and PSU rock.
Definitely the quietest desktop I've ever had between the Seasonic PSU and this card. I'm blown away...
Well I rolled the dice and wow the screen was beautiful! Unfortunately 4 dead pixels right in the middle of the screen. I fired up Battlefield 1942 (oh yeah still the best) and there was a L shaped group of gray pixels right next to my crosshair. Totally annoying. Reading the ASUS warranty...
Howdy,
So I built a new rig last weekend and had a bad stick of G.Skill DDR4-3000 - one of two 16gb sticks that was preventing a POST.
I got my new set of 32gb (2 16gb sticks) today and after some games in the BIOS got it to run at 3000mhz, but the latency's will only boot up at 15-17-17-39...
Hi,
Just hoping to confirm something with you all.
So I put my new build together - MSI Z170A motherboard, G.Skill Rapjaw V 3000 23 gb - two sticks of 16 gb. It wouldn't post - gave error codes 55 00 16 od. I have the two dimms in slots 2 and 4. I took the stick out of slot 4 and whoola...
Thanks emmjaws! Appreciate the quick response.
Sounds like I'm good to go to order this puppy.
I guess I was confused that the only mention of nvme also indicated using the U.2 connector.
Sounds like M2 that is PCIe 3.0 x4 is always NVME and will support 32 Gb/s?
Hi there,
So I'm doing my first new build in something like 10 years. Yikes where have the years gone?
I just ordered the MSI Z170A Gaming G7 and was now looking at SSD's.
I'm looking at the Samsung 950 PRO 512 GB NVM Express.
SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid...
Duh duh duh duh duh. Duh duh duh duh duh. Dutta duhhh.... duh dut dut duh duhhh...dut duh duta duhh......duuuhhhhh dut.
My favorite game of all time. I still play it on Moongamers. 3 or 4 servers all that's left.
Hey it's free now people!
My company is full of woman execs that keep pushing hiring woman and they suck. We even pay for their schooling. All they want to do is talk and hold meetings and ignore what the men say.
So when is the Nursing, teaching, dietitian, etc. industry gonna start giving us men some training and...
I've used Rhapsody for years and I love it... but for 2 years I had to use my old PC because there "newest" website didn't work on my new laptop despite many hours of tech support. Also they have about 2 supported MP3 players and Ipod's and Iphones aren't included. Even the Sony Walkam that I...
... saw a jammer for sale somewhere that was pertty small. There's a few idiots on the bus that yell and scream stupid shit for an hour. Not all the time... if it was i'd buy one of these and turn it on and off. :)
I hate Facebook. Horrible user experience, espeically considering the "resources" they have. I'm going to laugh my ass off when MySpace comes back roaring.
Looks pretty cool to me. I love, love, love the play of BF1942, but hate, hate, hate the new ones. Too much going on and too many long distance kills. This looks like lots of opportunities for up close and personal hatchets to the head. Yeah baby!
When I do ctrl-alt-del there is no bf3.exe running.
It just won't work. I've tried everything. On the Origin Forum there's a ton of complaints and one says they know it's a problem and have to patch it in a couple of weeks.
Just ask first. Let them know you won't be doing anything illegal or in bad taste. But don't be surprised if they say no. I would definitely go the get your own laptop route. They're cheap these days. ASUS is a popular bang for your buck gaming laptop. Even if you just crashed your work...
I have the same problem. It just says "Joining Server" and never starts the game. I chatted with an EA support guy last night, and he had me go into msconfig and turn off/disable EVERYTHING. LOL. Still didn't work.
I noticed a blurb on the Origin support site about enabling certain ports...
Nice fine. Holy crap there is a lot of variants of the G73. This one looks like the best bang for the buck. Love the 30 day no restocking fee policy as well. Was tempted to get a M17x, but they both have issues. 30 days to try it out seems like a no brainer. It's quieter than the M17x and...
Sounds promising. I was thinking about a desktop replacement notebook with enough juice to game, but be quiet when surfing in the kitchen.

Radeon Mobility has something similar to Optimus (powerplay?) that allows you to switch to the integrated graphics when not gaming etc. Does that work? Does the onbaord Radeon fan turn off as well? I'm hoping when I'm just surfing in the family room that the Alienware will be quieter and cooler...

Thanks for the input.
I've had good times gaming on my current desktop, but it's old and loud (AMD64 & Nvidia 6800GT - about 6/7 yrs old). The noise doesn't bother me when I'm pawning online, but it's distracting when left on to manage photos etc.
I'd love a nice quiet laptop that...
