Forget which rundown I read it in, but I believe that the 40nm process precludes the use of a bus higher than 128bit... besides the 512MB ram is it's real bottleneck, as the 2x 4770 crossfire setup only looses to the 4890 when playing games that cache tons of data.
NCIX carries them, but which ones should I consider?
These all seem reasonably quiet while moving a fair bit of air:
Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Jyuni 120MM Fan 1200RPM 68.5CFM 24DBA
$11.88 each
Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F 120MM Cooling Fan 1600RPM 28.0DBA 63.7CFM FDM
$16.27 each

I'm looking for good temps with low noise, given a mild overclock on an i7 920. Not sure about the heat sink yet, but I used a Xigmatek 92mm on the computer I built for my girlfriend and was considering their 120mm heatsink. I'd rather not use a fan controller, but will if that is necessary...
The airflow will be bottom to top, so I was thinking filters on the bottom would be a good idea. Glad you mentioned that sleeve bearings don't work when mounted that way... what does? I'd like to keep noise down as much as possible. Will be doing a mild overclock, but with the case design I...
Good to know about different fan types for the case and the rads. I wasn't aware of that. Are there better fans for intake or exhaust? Should I run my intake fans at a higher speeds and use filters?
I'll check out SPCR, seems like a good resource. That coolermaster 4-pack looks like a really good deal. I think I might have seen them at my local shop as well. Never tried their fans, but I have an older coolermaster case that I like. :)
Completely forgot about this thread, thanks for the responses guys. I'll look into the ones that you recommended.
Stellar - Its for a custom build that I'm planning. I might not end up using all 10 though. :)
Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I need 10+ 120mm fans for a build I am planning. I'd like to stick with reasonably silent well made fans, but need to keep this within my budget. Any suggestions on deals or anywhere that sells at reduced costs in bulk?
Thanks in advance.
Looking great... the only thing that I think detracts from the colour scheme is the yellow on the pumps. Have you given any thoughts to possibly covering that? Another copper or carbon fiber accent could work. :)
Wow, that's quite the mod. It's given me some good ideas for something I've had kicking around in the back of my head. Just need to figure out how to get it done without shelling out 15k. :D
Anyone know if either of the following adapters would work with a PCI-E 2.0 capable motherboard and graphics card?

No, what I am saying is that the first 325's were black metal. Followed shortly by the silver metal cups and then the 325i. I'm not 100% sure that the black metal ones came first, but would imagine this is the case as they were all silver before the 325i was released. I'll try and find a...
I've always been curious about the Ear HP4. Seems crazy expensive for something so small, but is supposed to have amazing synergy with Grados. Congrats.
Good luck buddy. :)
His amps sound great, but the wait time can be a little insane. Also, be very clear with what you want and ensure he tests it before shipping. You don't want to have to send it back to him.
On the upside, his phono stage is supposed to be really great, even relative to...
Well, Ive always been a fan of cheap tubes myself, but unless you feel comfortable modding your amp or build one outright you are stuck with whatever the manufacturer configures your amp with. 6SN7's are a very popular tube, though I'm not exactly sure why, so the prices tend to be high. If...
Mine were $200 used, but that included shipping to Canada, and it was a year or two ago. They are a bit more expensive up here and they usually just sell the black ones from what I've seen. [Mine are the cherry version]
