Okay I have rebuilt my wife's machine with my old quad core, so I decided t build a new WHS using the parts from her working machine. This machine was nice and snappy, but with WHS on it, it runs pathetically slow. I test installed a WHS on my old K8V-SE Deluxe w/ A64-3200 and it was pretty...
My friend wants to output game video from his computer (C2-6300, 2GB, BFG 7600GT, Intel DG33BU) to a TV, and hasn't bought the TV yet. This isn't my cup of tea. Anyone have any recommendations on a cheaper 32" LCD that will allow a PC in w/ HDMI, and the audio can go through the headphone jack...
Okay my wife and I have 2 new machines for playing games and work.
The two giving me a headache today are the new i7 (just 920's), P6T, 6GB x3 channel (1.5v, cert), dual (mirrored) 750GB (Seagate "Enterprise"), Lite-On SATA DVDRW, both with 4870 1GB (Asus EAH4870 DK) which seemed to be a...
Gamers are odd people, we do tend to adopt things earlier than most.
The way I see it is that right now most gamers are likely to game in widescreen resolutions of:
1440x900
1400x1050
1680x1050
1920x1200
2560x1600
The hardcore will be the 2560 people. Should the gang give up 4:3...
Just curious if anyone knows if it will display 1900x1200.
My friend lives cross country and I'd rather not ship it to him if it won't work. He's planning on getting a 24" Dell Widescreen Flat Panel.
The Inquirer
Basicallly they let ATI off easy as usual (as any nVidia fansite practically licks nVidia's boots). Even they admit to finding info that the R520 is delayed, and just yesterday they were going "No".
Ahh well.
I have the following rig for a secondary machine:
Intel P4 3.4E 775
Intel 915PBLL
1GB DDR2-4200
BFG 6600GT
80GB Seagate SATA w/ NCQ
AOpen DVD-ROM
Coolermaster Centurion Silver/Black (80MM Front Fan/120MM Rear Fan 350W PSU)
The problem is that at an ambient temperature of 66' F, the...
The Inquirer: ATi & nVidia
An interesting look at the state of things, from an ATi leaning site.
He offers excellent points about features, availability, and engine marketing.
