ATI Sapphire 4870 1mb, just reloaded XP now it crashes on game like Halo PC. Bios-Set to default I tried 100 PCI Express as well. Heard there was a new Bios to correct. Runs 50C most of the time. Latest ATI drivers using XP. Set everything back to Factory Fail Safe the Optimized via Bios...

For anyone having this issue the problems lies within memory, not so much as incompatibility as damaged. If memory if left out in the open unsealed (ESD) damage can occur. Replaced and total solid stability.

Fixed--I looked at my disc MS XP had a bad spot in disc-I loaded XP using this disc..I tried another with SP1 fixed...!!!:D Guess its possible XP was loaded corrupted at first, then caught it days later on my last ditch effort...Yippee Ki aaaa near went through window few times.

Can not get it to post-Bios then black screen. When it comes up press any key to boot from Cd (retail XP) it tries to go to hard drive. I have CD Rom 1st-tried disabling 2-3 being HD-Floppy. Still goes to black screen. Finally got it to reognize CD..in Bios bout it. Memory I tried 1 stick-2...

X58 mobo sounds good, I run several Intel mobo come w/o feature for crossfire. Skulltrail been a nightmare so far. Overheating as well as issues so I RMA it.

Sometime a dremel works well in an application, but for other apps we use a Bosch nibbler, no heat just a bit of clean-up. Many industries use these for van customization-auto & etc..works great in case modifications..
