I had my sampling of textures way too high. after dropping it down did the ingame benchmark at 1680x1050 and hit 80 fps. And it looks great. Now to up it to 1920x1080 and see if If can push the aa just a bit more. I think I can tweak it a bit and still have 60fps constant with very high detail.

I do have the nvidia physic's off. I have it set at 1280x800 and its smooth as silk now. going to test more settings and see what's my sweet spot.

I ordered the 4870.. because first off I have a 3870 so definitely want to get the logical upgrade from that. And secondly I tried an 8800gtx and it was defective so I decided to get the 4870 as the Logical Badass uber replacement.

My advice. uninstall your drivers. Reboot use driverclearner prop. Reboot and then install the latest hotfix that was just released its supposedly for The Vantage application.. but based on some testing it seems to fix alot of various issues with The 3870 cards and significantly improves...
