I've got Windows 7 Ultimate running on an HP 2133 replacing Windows XP Pro SP3 and it made a very noticeable difference in both speed and stability. I was very pleasantly surprised!
I've got a Toshiba Qosmio X500 that has a 18.4 and I like it.
1920x1080 resolution. That being said, it was a bitch to find a laptop bag that would fit it. Ended up with a Targus backback that is JUST big enough.
Would I buy it again? No. a 17" screen is plenty big for a laptop in my...
Yup, last week...
Picked up a Swiftech Apex Ultra kit and added the GPU block. Apparently most places in Canada that carry DD stuff are having a hell of a time getting it in stock lately, MemoryExpress (the only local place to me that carries WC stuff) can't get it at the moment, nor can...
I can't comment on NCIX service as i've never used them but when they do have what you're after i've heard they're a good place to shop.
I've purchased things from Bigfoot a few times in the past, the most recent being my watercooling set up and i'm quite happy with the experience, they had a...
I've got several flavors of 2500+'s two Bartons and a Mobile, had at least two more but don't recall what they were offhand.
most are overclocked some, and the temps vary wildly. my Mobile that's OC'ed to 2200 idles at 28-32C and hits 48-52 Under load with a Thermaltake Silent Boost on it...
An excellent job!
Sometimes simple is more, many of us tend to forget that in the never ending hunt for the most 'bling' or wow factor on a case. I'm impressed!
the XT cards usually have a built in temp sensor... the pro versions don't always.
my 9800PRO 128 that I've bios modded to XT doesn't have it while from what I've read most of the R360 cored 256mb Pros do... depends on the model of card from what I understand
After the fact I really wish I had cut up the front Bezel since the airflow there is horrid :)
I still might end up doing that but the power and reset switches are going to be a pain to move because of how they're mounted to the frame of the case. The other issue is the 2 80mm intake fans are...
Actually the drive is being replaced by a slot load DVD player in black. Since it's just an old 32 speed CD-ROM drive it wasn't really worth painting :)
Wiring has been cleaned up some, got a new PSU but it had extra long cables so it's not a lot neater just yet. I'll take some new pics soon.
Here's a case I did a while back. I should be starting a new project soonish.
Went from this:
68.149.34.237
To this:
Here's a shot of the window lit up.
I am still doing some work on this one though. Recently put in a new PS and i'm working on the interior lighting some. Once...
I too have a Silent Boost on a Barton 2500+ OC'ed to 3200+ Idles at 45ish in a 30 degree room and hits 55ish under extended load. WAY quieter than my old Volcano 7+ anyhow. the rest of the fans in the case are much louder than the HSF.
Unfortunately I don't have any pics of it but my ThermalTake Volcano 7+ used to be quite cat hair / dust vaccuum. Had to go in there quite regularly (once a month or so) and clean the dust out. The new Silent Boost coolers are much better at not collecting the dust, not to mention the drastic...
