Thanks Kyle and Brent!
Nothing like some old school manual tweaking to get that vsync going, and who knows what other support features could be enabled that way. Looking forward for the bigger review!
For a similar sized, 6x6TB drives, internal RAID6 array, what RAID controller card would you guys recommend? I have been looking at the Areca 1882i, and i know there are a few others out there that can do a similar task. Or is it even worth getting a RAID6 card these days?
Thanks!
Used to be every other cycle, or when money allowed for it. Not as much need now, to be competitive you actually need run lower graphic settings, so upgrading was a waist of money. And so many games out, can't play them all so no point buying them on 0-day, might as well wait for sales, and get...
Slightly disappointed, but not surprised. Was also looking to upgrade, but i guess one more year the way it is isn't a bad thing.
Kyle, thanks for the review.
I'm just happy that the 20nm production is picking up. Was getting worried that we would have to wait another year or two for the 20nm parts and the next iteration would simply be 28nm with added architecture, or revamped architecture. That's what some of the rumors a few months ago were saying.
Just putting what i think you want and what people are saying into perspective.
If you want to have best performance for the buck, go with with a 280x or even a R9 290 (can be had for under 300 in some cases). But then you will need to spend some time with your computer and make some driver...
Haven't been following the trends too much, but anyone know why the R9 suddenly fell in price?
Also, between the Asus, Sapphire and XFX, any suggestions on which card to get?
The NV 780s are a bit too rich for my liking still, but i do need a quite card, and both the Sapphire Tri-X and XFX...
Thanks for the feedback guys.
for those like me, i also found a lot of good input on this forum.

I'm still on the fence, ideally would like to get it here through a carrier so that i could get a coverage plan.
Did you buy it on...
Hi Guys,
looking at this nice little phone. Reviews seem mostly positive and good for what i need:
- small phone
- excellent battery life
- ok camera
- good screen
- lots of space and very compatible.
My question is if anyone has one and your thoughts? Does anyone have one in the USA...

48 hours to go! Can they make it over the 1 million mark and can we get a dog? (I shall call him "dead meat")
The first SOTS was Epic, almost a MOO sequel I would say. They really messed up SOTS2 though.. just plain wrong. Talk about butchering a perfectly good concept that people loved.
Thanks for posting, this game looks amazing, if they can pull of the combat system to be similar (or better) to Mount & Blade, that would make this an Epic game!
If youre looking for a smaller phone with excellent (probably the best) battery life, looks at the Sony Z1 Compact. I'm been following it. Lots of memory (expandable), pretty good camera, the best battery of probably any android phone (or iPhone) and it's submersible.
Don;t know about you...
Keep posting your thoughts :D I'm interested in the Z1 Compact so taking all of this Z1s info in.
Lint problems?
Glass being scratched?
Are you using a screen protector?

Depending on the type of games you're looking to play. The boobs you can not only play with, but also sleep on and they keep you warm (the R9 290 can also keep you warm, but only if it's working as a heater).. so win win.
That's the beauty of 1440p, you don't need much AA since the pixels are so dense, its AA through pixel density. So yes, you can do 120fps. But even lower FPS just look smoother on a 120hz monitor.

One of the greatest games ever made might have a future. Your thoughts?
XBone seems to play some games at 720p (for now at least)

for 300ish, go with the korean 27" 1440p, they can be easily overclocked to 96Hz (or 120Mh if you're lucky). You don't even need to turn on any AA at that resolution.

throwing this one into the pot too, the company is in CA, so if anything goes wrong, they are around. The panel itself also comes with a nicer stand and the brezel is much much nicer.
I just got mine recently, it's good, some backlight...
The motherboard is having a not working RAM slot so i was RMAing it.
Wait, both the link you provided and myself are saying its an I card, or am i missing something???
The card works flawlessly for years (running on 3 years for me), so the card itself isn't a problem.
Great assumptions (sorry i should have been more descriptive in my post) It it a Perc 6i card, it's an easy fit actually. I looked on these forums at the time of purchase, others had it working, and even the tape mod was not required for the motherboard i had. (win-win)...
lol touche.. i need the all the card slots to work except the last two (the PCI and the PCIe). Ironically, the third PCIe slot works, but i can't use it.
Hi guys,
just wanted to ask if anyone had an odd problem. I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard, but who knows. I am doing an RMA on my motherboard, and the new board that arrived, well, the PERC6 card does not want to work in it if it's in the second PCIe slot. It has power (the LED is...
Kyle, Brent Thank you.
Really hoping the prices on these stay at MSRP.
P.S. the editors note at the end of page 8 might need to be stressed more.
With these cards performing as they do.. any chance you could do a closed case test?
The Clan pack is the single biggest money grab i have ever seen... Makes me want to go and play EveOnline.. at least it's cheaper (and you can get it on Steam sale).
The game is fun, but man, it's not worth spending the money on. I do think that i they cut the amount of money that they are...
600+ damage in an atlas in one game isn't odd. It should the norm...
But you know whats cool, my Shadowhawk doing 500+ damage (if i survive the round) and weighing in at 45% less than an atlas... And there are no Hero Shadowhawks yet.
And as someone who loves to get into a Spider occasionally...
MWO isn't pay-to-win. Yes some of the Hero Mechs (for $) are better, but not so much. the Blackjack with an AC20 in it, that's a free mech. the Atlas DDC, considered arguably the best mech in the game, it's free. The heavy metal is the best Highlander, but the 733C is almost the same. The Dual...
yes, because the drivers that this summer crashed so many 780 cards were sooooo good
(sorry, i agree on most points that 780 has better cooling, sound profile and overall is a better card, but it's also a much more expensive product. For the price difference, you can put a custom...
