Hey Eclypse, I am 99% sure I have one in my "olden days of yore" hardware box. I will check this weekend for you, ok? I had that slot one Alpha cooler.. also had a socket 370 Alpha as well, mounted to things like Pentium 3s and Celerons around then. DAMMIT but time flies doesn't she?
If I post all the games that I have replayed over the decades... OMG...the list will take far too much time to even enumerate them.
RTS... RPG... FPS of every flavor.. platformers.... simulators for cars and aircraft of all flavors/types...side scrollers.. shooters... bullet hell games...
I remember the days of War dialing on 300 baud modems in the early 80s...Dialing into BBS servers in Germany on Commodore 64s to DL games for it... listening to the lovely 5.25" Commodore drive sounds as new data was being written and then waiting for a bad ass Psygnosis game to load soon after.
I have that one in my hardware archive/museum of yore. I will dig in my plastic storage boxes for it. I'll post a pic of it once I find it, Eclypse. I think I bought it in late 99 or early 2000.
Corsair k70 Lux with brown key switches, and a Logitech G9X (that I have repaired a few times over the years...) as well as a Logitech wireless M705 when not FPS gaming.
I believe, that a healthy distrust of any "center of authority" is a must. There is always a tendency for any company or system/govt to do whatever it takes to attain and/or perpetuate its dominance. Whether for good or ill.
I have several of these 1500VA APC UPS units.. I truly believe they have saved my electronics over the years from damaging surges and brownouts. Voltage sags/brownouts can be even more damaging to electronics than small surges. I have my main rig on one. And my main living room TV, HTPC, and...
I just wish they had made the Thrawn Trilogy into movies... Heir to The Empire etc...
Dark Empire would have been cool.. much better and "believable" as sequels to ANH, ESB, and TROTJ, and at least more believable as a progression from the Empire after Return of the Jedi than "The First Order"...
Costco sells the TSR-7810 for less than 500...

That is.. if you wanted to go that route...
It's somewhat like a Logan's Run of the working world...
I have been through this same situation myself. Being told I was overqualified repeatedly in job interviews over the past 8 years was so disheartening I cannot truly express it in words. I now work for a small high voltage technology...
One of my frikkin fave movies of all time....My Dad, Bro and I can recite every damn line in Kelly's Heroes... " Ahhh take the gas pipe Sargeant, you creep!"
IMO the electric cars from Tesla are the only ones that look like a vehicle I would WANT to drive. The Leaf from Nissan, that BMW whatever e-car, and that VW concept.. Look like cars styled by some committee where everyone got a say in the design direction ( ugly as that old Pontiac Aztek thing...
F'in aye... I want to see Tie Defenders and Missile boats in a movie, because.. dayum. Thrawn should be awesome to see, if they use Zahn's characterization.
China has a REAL problem currently because of the 1 child limit, untold numbers of female babies were never born or aborted because of that policy. Far too many males there and not enough females in the current population of "breeding age". In Japan, the problem is the aging population and no...
