I agree with Mutiny. What I see is a developer coming up with creative ways to keep the doors open and push development along. The problem he has is balancing the creation of ships versus the development of the base universe. It is possible, that if he did not have to be creative with new ships...
I don't really disagree. I built gaming PCs for everyone in the house and they surf and game. I see how it adversely affects their ability to focus without stimulus and how their grades suffer because real world stuff is boring and difficult compared to videos, surfing and gaming.
I wish I never...
That is of course the real problem. Take my wife for example, until I changed her habits she used her browser tabs as her bookmarks. I checked and the amount of memory consumed was nuts. I think she had around 100 tabs at the time. She would complain about games stuttering for a period of time...

Thanks. I assume we are not the target audience for this mode. The greater audience would be my brother in law that doesn't know any better and has bloatware running and several other apps running. I've asked him why he doesn't use the PC for gaming and his answer is that his PC is to slow and...
I'm curious if the tests of this mode have been done with other apps running? Lets say there is facebook, skype, and twitter <insert all the crap people might run in the background> all running and THEN we enable this gaming mode. Is there a difference in framerate between having the mode...
I doubt many people will know what SCADA means.
"SCADA stands for supervisory control and data acquisition. In simple terms it refers to a computer system for analyzing and gathering data in real time."
Not sure if anyone knows about this, there is a kickstarter from the creator of AI Wars. I can't go to the link as I'm at work. If someone can post a link that would be great.
Why should you care?
Well... AI Wars classic is one of the few strategy games that I keep going back to. The AI...
I think this comment is what's sad. People will look at this and this will be the only important factor. Not the fact that the total number of deaths are going to go down. I completely understand the human nature aspect that will make this happen. I just find it unfortunate.
I liked this post but one can argue that this information is already present in the apples to apples chart. What other information would you want?

Well other than the issue that DX12 makes this impossible (for now) to create.
In this context, I don't agree.
In a job situation where streamlining the user experience and presenting relevant data is valuable - Yes - you are correct.
In a review where I want to easily see all of the details, take my time to absorb and not have to guess what setting might be - No - you...
I have to agree with the study and the harsh reality, at least for me, is that reaction times slow. It was a painful moment when I realized I just couldn't be a WOW top tier raid tank anymore. I was simply to slow to react.
I think for me that's what shifted me to strategy games more than...
From my layman's understanding, you have to have an iron core that's already spinning. Supposedly, Earth has one and Mars does not. At least that's my understanding.
If you aren't sure why an iron core would give you a magnetic field then its time to google my friend. :)
Ok, I have perhaps a stupid question. I confess to ignoring the steam machine up until now. I understand that the pc is basically running a flavor of Linux. I also understand that valve has been pushing linux development for games.
My question is, what is the "draw/demand" for a steam machine...
You would probably have better luck asking this question within a forum or blog observed by the developers.
Perhaps this would be a place to start:

What I'm attempting to say, is that you have fairly new hardware with a fairly new OS. The process of elimination could tell you what combination of this hardware is the issue.
And I agree, it might not turn out to be anything related to hardware combinations. It could be a quirk...
I installed 8.1 with update as a fresh install on a small SSD I had laying around and I've noticed something annoying.
When the PC comes up from sleep, it takes several seconds before I'll see the screen where I can enter my password (I made the registry addition so the initial lock screen...
I suggest a process of elimination. If it was me, I'd break the SLI and go with one card first. You've have a fairly new card, in SLI, on windows 8.1.
Then after that I'd switch out the power supply and then finally the MB.
Good luck.
Perhaps 3 people, pick 3 different scenarios, have a device to test the force applied when in the pocket and the person is sitting down.
It wouldn't be a perfect test of course. But having these numbers on how much force it takes to bend a phone doesn't really mean anything until you have...
I believe they need one more test to make this complete.
How much force does a 180 lb person sitting in a chair exert on an iphone 6 in their pocket?
Is that not the use case / problem case?
I don't agree.
Read the part about second hand smoke which makes complete sense to me. I don't wish to see my son or daughter struggle because of someone watching youtube on their laptop.
Should they be able to ignore it? Sure, but where do you draw the line between acceptable...
Why doesn't Kyle have a post on this?
It would be nice if Kyle could contact Samsung and get feedback on what the the real issue is.
I personally have two 256g EVO SSDs, one for me and one for my wife.
I used the file found here...
I currently use an nvidia card from EVGA but that is only because the card was handy, I would relish the chance to prove that XFX is a better company and that the ATI/AMD architecture is supreme.
(how was that?) :)

Clearly Newegg is attempting to make their own processors! It may take them a few years but when they do ! ;)
I only read a few of these posts but the only comments I'd like to make are:
1) Newegg cannot examine every box that goes out the door. Anyone who thinks so is an idiot. I...
Thanks.
So it is safe to say that this board will accept just about any type of memory - as in - single or double sided etc.
Now, I realize that SPD settings play a heavy role in performance, but if you had a choice, would you buy one stick of 1 gig or 2 512m sticks?
Would I see a...
What type of memory will work best with this motherboard?
1 stick that is double sided?
2 sticks that are single sided?
Or is this a non-issue with the ultra 400?
Thanks
I would like your advice on which motherboard I should buy for an Athlon Barton XP 2500+. I plan on running it at 3200+ (200mhz FSB). This PC will actually be an upgrade for my wifes 1400 xp athlon.
I currently use a Barton 2500+ running at 3200+ within an abit KV7 via board. The board is...
