I have a Radeon Mobility X300 issue that I can't figure out.
On four Inspiron 9300's with this card, resizable frames in several programs won't resize (think outlook type preview pane being resized up and down). It's ONLY on these laptops. No other laptops have this problem, and they all have...
1- P4 3.0E New, in box with OEM cooler
1 - P4 3.0E New. In original plastic, but I needed the OEM cooler and had to remove from original box
More to come, probably. Parting out planned projects thanks to hurricane :(
EDIT- no, this stuff wasn't touched by the hurricane. Just...
Apparently I've come across some deals on here, for this RAM, a couple days too late....three times now!
So now I'm putting the call out :)
Happy to pay by paypal in advance.
This is the easiest way. Just tried this as well and I like it better THANKS
BTW, Just overclocked to Ultra speeds and ran 3dmark without any artifacts and temps stayed at 69C or below.
Now to try some gaming :)
I'm going to leave this thread open, as there are others on google have the same problem with no answer.
However, I just used RivaTuner's power user mode and there's a registry key called "DisableInternalClockTest" - I set it to 1, and tried overclocking. I went up 10 MHz, and the test acted...
Argghhh, I mentioned this in another thread with no luck.
screenshot is below...

That's right, I tried to clock it down 1Mhz - same result as overclocking any. Seems I can't change the clock speed at all!
So, now I ask for a list of...
I've got a 2.8c running at 3.5Ghz right now on an Abit IC7. The machine is rock solid and has been for about 10 months in this condition.
I've been given a 3.0e and am wondering if overclocking it instead would yield any more performance.
A google search sends me to bias after bias in the...
I'll use this thread to ask a related question:
I have a 6800GT (upgraded from a 9800pro 128mb) my 3dmark2001 scores not much higher.
20607 with a 6800GT
20043 with a 9800pro 128mb
Downloaded coolbits registry change- can't overclock the card a single bit!! Not one Mhz.
The card is...
The title says it mostly.
I have been looking at a 3ware 7506-8, and would prefer to go that route, however, I'm open to other brands and models.
The card Must have individual ports for each drive (don't want a bad cable to kill my array). Must have atleast 6 drive capability. Must be IDE...
please PM me your paypal address so I can meet my end of the deal!
I came across winsockXP in my search for an answer yesterday, but just passed on it assuming it were just another obscure 3rd party software.
I know better now in the future. Thanks! :)

I posted this on one other site as well, so you are in competition for this HUGE sum of money.
Problem:
Computer won't resolve domain names.
Can ping IP's. Can't ping domain names...
Interesting development. Last night I was going right to 65C before I turned off the testing.
Today, it won't budge over 59C.
I have read that AS5 has a 'curing' period, but this is 6C atleast! Is that possibly all it was?
On your advice, I have reset the heatsink 3 times now, being very careful. No luck.
This is starting to leave me with either the case as the problem, or something about AS5 that I don't know.
Perhaps I wasn't clear in my post. I was getting 60C on my last heatsink, a low model thermaltake, and am manually stopping the prime test when it hits 61C (more recently when it his 65C) on the Zalman.
As an experiment, I clocked back down to the stock 2.8 and started running prime95. The...
Motherboard sensor (yes yes, I know). I just simply didn't expect to see HIGHER temperatures after I changed the cooler. Atleast when I left the factory one the temperatures got colder.
While searching the forums I saw someone reference AS5 increasing temps. I have followed the instructions to...
Installed heatsink, unimpressed so far
Case temp is 28C
CPU temp is 48C at idle
Using Arctic silver 5
WHY? What am I missing? I am running a 2.8c @ 3.5GHz. The last heatsink on here was a thermaltake that belonged to my housemate. It has no identifier on it, and I can't find it's pic...
As many others have done, I solved my own problem.
Brought the VCore up to 1.55 (skipped 1.5) and things are running solid everywhere. PWM is 1C warmer, but no big deal.
From the intel forum:
Well, wouldn't you know it. All is goign well and I hit a problem when running 3dmark. Around test 10 or 11 (I couldn't tell you), I blue screened with an invalid page fault.
I rebooted, everything came back up, except now things seem a little 'off'. For instance...
Perhaps this will give others some idea of what to expect in the future, and any comments are welcome :)
The basic setup is:
2.8c @ 3.5Ghz
ABIT IC7
2x256 Geil platinum pc4000
Offbrand case - Two exhaust, one intake.
I am in a room with A/C set to about 75F
I have managed stock...
