Hi, I have a Phenom II 940 running at 3.6 ghz and a 4870. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd 4870. but I'm not sure about it. I have enough power (a Thermaltake VGA Power) for the 2nd 4870. The only review I could find on the internet about this is the one from Anandtech...

The x1800xt vs the asus extreme 7800gtx running at 486/1350. In BF2 at 16x12, 4x fsaa, 16x af, the overclocked 7800gtx runs as fast as a x1800xl. I wonder what BF2 game the [H] was playing...
It will be a GREAT upgrade. I have upgraded from a Mobile Athlon 64 3200+ (running @ 2400-2600, depending on the season) and you'll notice it from the beginning, specially in multitasking, but windows itself goes soooo smooth with a dual core, you'll never want to go back to single core.
I agree 100%. Unless you play in 1024 without FSAA and AF, it isn't worth it. Even more, I think you can save over 100$ and pick the 3800+, and easly oc it to 4600+ levels. I have mine at 2400 mhz (4600+) with 1.375v, that is the normal voltage for X2 (1.35-1.4)
That is not true. Prime95 doesn't fail when running both. I have had my x2 3800+ running at 2400 mhz with two instances of prime 95 for over 6 hours without failing.

It's 13º cooler than a 7700 Cu and1º cooler than the gigabyte galaxy 3D on a P4
Zalman CNPS 9500. Simply the best air cooler by far. It cools as goods as entry level water cooling. BTW, I have a TT Big Typhoon, a pain in the ass to install, but cools really nice (better than any XP90 or 120).
I was searching for this yesterday and i found a simple and efficient way. Just edit your boot.ini file and add /onecpu to the line of windows.
example:
[boot loader]
timeout=05
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]...
I have a similar problem. I just received my corsair twinx-2048-3200 cp. Each module is rated at 400 2.5-3-3-6. If i put any of them alone, they work, but if I put both of them, I have to reduce the speed to 333, or i get those memtest errors, or windows won't boot. I can do 2-2-2-5 1T at 333...
I have that motherboard with 1 stick of jetram 512 MB and 2 of kingston 256 MB, they're rated a 333, but worked fine at 400 mhz on my Abit NF7-S, however, I can't get it over 333 with the 3 sticks installed.
The confussion comes from here:
I already reviewed this monitor in my previous article with a confusing outcome. In spite of the fact that the manufacturers website claims 12msec response time and the use of TN+Film matrix, the monitor proved to have a PVA matrix with a response time of...
I have a Point of View 6800 GT with a Artic Silencer NV5 and I can get my core to 440 stable, however, my best performance is at 400 Mhz, anything beyond that produces stuttering and I end up with a worse peformance. The Temperatures reach as high as 80ºC when overclocking, I'm not sure if my...
