Yes, the entire "Windows Update System" is seriously borked. It now takes 5-12 hours for each of my Win 7 and Win 8.1 workstations to complete the "Checking for Updates" task. Really pathetic.
I like how for the last few months, it takes hours to check for and install updates for my Win 7 box. The whole update process just keeps getting worse.
I have an older car, which I love and intend to keep as long as it runs. No Bluetooth, USB, etc., but I can access the CD changer with a 3.5 mm jack. I do on occasion listen to music off my phone via this route. Very convenient. I know I'm not the target market for Apple, but I know several...
So I'm the only one whose car doesn't have Bluetooth? I do occasionally listen to music through my car's sound system by connecting the phone with the earphone jack. Guess in the near future I'll only be using my digital audio player.

Giant octopus kite at Marina Barrage makes waves online
It took six people to get it airborne. There's a pretty neat photo of it from above too.
Another brilliant proposal by Jackie. I live in her district, and while I have tons of respect for her (she was shot at Jonestown while an aide to Ryan), she's infamous for coming up with ridiculous bills. I can go downtown and get a complete fake ID package in about 10 minutes that will...
Other than being electric, it's a stupid comparison. A better comparison would be to the BMW i8. Haven't driven one, but plenty around where I live; it's a great looking car.
I order with Prime 2-3 per week, and hate going to the market, so I signed up for the trial. I could never complete my typical shopping list to avoid a trip to the market, so I never used it I completely forgot about it, then got the bill for $299. Yikes! Fortunately it was easy enough to...
Since I've never been happy with any Samsung product I've purchased, no, if it's just Samsung I won't be buying it.
I am looking forward to UHD Blu-ray. Love my Sony 4K TV.
Thanks for posting that. Really amazing. After watching the slo-mo for awhile, you check and see that only 2 seconds have elapsed in real time! Then at the very end you see one of them running in real time. Incredible.
No lie - I lost someone in my group doing analytical chemistry in the Bay Area to go work in Apple's battery development department. She was great. We're a small biotech company, so we weren't going to be able to counter-match Apple's offer. Good for her, sucks for us.
And I'm just sitting here with my Linux workstation wondering why my USB mouse isn't detected 90% at boot, and why Samba is borked more than ever before. It's so secure, not even I can connect to it!
